Yes it is. It is similar to giving trust as you refresh the page you will re-post the trust you gave to another member, the good thing about it is the copy can be deleted while the merit you gave will not. One quick fix will be avoiding refreshing the page and try to visit the thread in another way hopefully you won't be wasting your sMerits that way until they have solve the issue.
Thank you for your quick response mate I appreciate that much. I had to avoid refreshing now and those three merits are still worth it because the thread is informative.

I visited the campaign etiquette thread of yahoo62278 and give 1 merit on that post but when it is finished I accidentally refreshed the page and add another 1 merit I refreshed it again to see if it will but unfortunately it still add 1 merit. Is this natural or some kind of a bug? By the way I am using a mobile phone.
