Meta is for forum related problems, issues, etc...
Why don't we just create a new rule that spamming the Meta is a reason for permaban?
Well, if I think twice, we could just ban newbies with the new rule, who hunt for merit, but that won't help much because the farmers will just register a new account instead of the banned ones...

Merit was created as a barrier to upranking, and your comment is true, and it is advice your should have taken.

I am a newbie, I want to clearly state my opinion on meriting.
The idea of merits for ranking is not bad in my opinion, no one needs bullshit in his house. Some say it's being harsh on beginners but it's not, it's actually telling the new guys like me that this is a serious place so no garbage.
The forum needs value from everymember.

Because he wants the merits bro. All the Pajeets now know meta is the place to be and they must be talking about thread starters getting more merits than responses.
