Yeah.  Seems like there were a lot of these threads in the very early days of the merit system, and fortunately they've died down a lot.  They were oddly encouraging a couple of months ago, since they were a sure sign that the merit system is working--and that's still what it signifies, but these complainers have jumped the shark. 

OP's account has got to be an alt of someone who's "suffering" due to lack of merits, and that puts a grin on my grill.  The fact is that you have to either up your game or STFU, because it's not the system that's broken, it's YOU.  Lots of people have figured out how to earn merits and some never will, and those in the latter category probably don't deserve them in the first place.  That's about 80% of everyone on this forum, unfortunately.

Then what's stopping you from buying merit when you're so sceptical about merit traders being red tagged? No one cares that you can't get merit and crying about it. Also, do you know why you're not getting merit? Because your posts are shit and I can guarantee you that.

I think that you should just deal with it. Just go buy merit since you'll never rank up and that's the point of merit. Shit posting will get you nowhere.

And this goes for everyone who's crying about merit and making excuses like "they're buying merit" or similar.

Are you sure all merit abuser will have a red tag at the end? Do you have a power to predict such merit abuser on the bitcoin furom  feild? Are you a superhuman? I believe that there are so many individual here that has an alt account, even you ! has maybe an alt account, why we are having trouble of gaining a huge amount from the campaign using 1 account when we can create many more account to make some more money? I am not telling this for myself, it is the reality, this merit system is only for those who are old on this furom, they can easily rank up their newbie account by sending merit from their high rank account, the most worst thing here is we can't really determine the alt account. I think if merit system will be removed everything may back to normal, and all alt account may not easily rank up.

If not, I'm afraid it is going to be like this each day, and good posts are going to get lost in between all this crap, like in the "Bitcoin Discussion" board, a lost one.

what do you mean let it be back to normal there was nothing wrong with the system in the first place until the spammers and account farmers came, could it be you have something in your mind?

Have you observed the posts of those people, as well? Crying about merit and shit posts go with one another.

That's because 70% of those posts are one liners (not even good ones), 25% are bounty posts and the remaining 5% are casual posts. If someone thinks he deserves merit, show us the post you think should get merit and I'm sure that you'll receive merit for it (if it actually deserves it).

Then they're not as good as you think they are?

Yeah, so that you and all the other farmers that are desperately waiting for something like this get back to earning hundreds of dollars every month by farming and selling accounts, or by taking part in bounties with high ranked but nonconstructive accounts. That is what this system prevents the people from doing, and that prevention is actually what bothers you, not the system itself.

No, such negatively thinkers should be ignored due to their wrong attitude.
I guess they have kept complaining all the time about merit system, even about 4 months after the launch day of merit system, mainly because they are not able to compose constructive threads, and lack of willingness to learn, improve, contribute to the forum.
They should not have chance to listen attentively by others in the forum because their threads are really annoying and don't show any attitude to change to right adaption.
Instead of complaining like this, those guys should use their time to search for helpful topics, learn from them, improve their knowledge and skills.

NO. Merit is very good system and needs only some adjustments on sources and maybe on merit/ranks now that airdrop is almost gone.

Don't be dumb, by the OP's account name itself you can distinguish his nationality because you are also from that country. Don't drag nationality into this topic because it will just taint a bad image not just to the OP but also to the whole nation. I don't agree with OP's opinion about this merit system but it is his opinion so he have the right to voice it out here no matter what the old members will say about his feeling. Kicking ass my boy? And I'm sure that the first reason why you joined here is to earn money, Admit it or not. Merit, It is just implemented to improve ourselves, to make us more and more better than before. I am once became a spammer and I admit it. Those are times when I really don't know what to do. But as long as I walk towards new doors that opens, I've learned something more and new. All I'm trying to say is, we can't really "grow" if we will not improve ourselves. And if we don't improve ourselves, then we don't deserve a Merit (a reward for doing your best).

If you don't care about earning then why do you care about merit? It effects you none whatsoever if all you want to do is post. If so, then just post. Why do you need merit and rank? It only effects you if you're here to rank up so you can earn more money which is obviously why you're annoyed. As o_e_l_e_o already pointed out, this account had zero posts even though it was registered in December so I'm guessing you don't want to bring attention to your 'main' one(s) and you're just annoyed that whatever accounts you were farming are getting no where now and that's why merit works. Merit is the only way to stop people like you from signing up with dozens to unlimited accounts just to shitpost from, but it doesn't stop your from contributing and if you did contribute well you would get the merit eventually.

Yes, it is suspicious when there is exchange of merit, especially large numbers like 50 merits.
But unless you have proof of the 2 accounts being alts, it really is not conclusive merit abuse.

Yes, people can grow their account with alt. It is a common fact for now. But at the end, they will have a red tag.
However, your comment inspired me to have a look on your merit history. Seems like, you are giving merit to yourself also receiving. Your merit history is really suspicious.

Without this, a lot of "Member" ranked members are close enough to Full Member. Don't say they are abusing. They are not here for only fulfilling the requirements of signature campaign rather they are here for learning.

I've been observing a lot of concerns here was all into merit issues. People always feeling painful because of this merit system. To Theymos, I hope you will listen to us whose been trying to grow in bitcointalk. This is a crab mentality, and only those old members gained merit and Smerit will always be a myth for us. We have no chance to grow here even how we make our post into the best as we can, but still its worthless. Please remove merit system and let it be back to normal.
