Hello all. i have some problems about merit points and how merit points release.
I believe you've gotten answers to your query,  and just to add, I would say that -
You possibly do not need to know how a car engine works to be a good driver,  though knowledge of it is not a waste by the way.
The merit system is like a car,  you necessarily do not need to know how it works to be able to amass alot of it,  like all you need in a car is to learn how to drive,  in the merit system,  all you need is to learn how to make good quality posts,  and you have merits raining on you like Facebook and Twitter likes.
But like I already said before,  knowing how the system works is not a wasted knowledge by the way.

3. by whome merit points are released to the forum??
AFAIK, if previously 111 merit sources were appointed to distribute merit, now only 110. I don't know who is missing, but they are contributors that are selectively appointed by the admin.
Merit sources come and go, I would imagine.  Some of the ones that Theymos tapped back in 2019 might have become inactive, as they never applied to be merit sources--and then there's always the chance that some of them simply aren't as active on the forum anymore or aren't as active in spreading merits around.  I don't even know when the last time Theymos made someone a merit source, but I really wish he'd create some more--especially on the local boards.

Here, another fact is much more interesting. The OP has a neutral tag that says he's violating the rule of ban evasion, but he's so naive that he just doesn't care why this happened to him. Why was his first or twenty-first account banned? And why shouldn't he be on the forum at the moment either?
Lol.  Why do people draw attention to themselves like this?  And yeah, a better question would be about why OP's even still posting anything at all.  Hopefully a mod will see this and take appropriate action.

It's very simple and no need to complicate things. If you want to receive merits, you have to contribute something to the forum. The easiest way is to write quality posts. Posts that are informative or help solve certain problems for example. Your other concerns about how merits come to existence and who has them are of secondary importance. Those who have them will find and reward those worthy of receiving them.

But don't expect any by participating in bounties and posting bounty reports. That's spam, and if it were up to me, I would delete those.

kasunrandil, I see that you participate in bounty campaigns and that so far you have not shown interest in participating in other forum topics.
You have been on the forum for several months and now you suddenly started asking questions about merits, I wonder why?

But a cheater cannot go unnoticed for a long time. If they do not pay attention to him, he does it himself.

Any user can send and receive merit at any time without any time limit,
This is correct for the most part, except that a user can send a maximum of 50 smerits to a particular profile within a 30 day period (or ~1 month).

This was introduced I believe to maintain consistency of the forum flow by lining it with the ranking standards.
Merits were introduced to combat spam. Prior to the merit system, users just created posts and boosted their activity inorder to rank up, leading to lots of spam in the forum.
Now users have to contribute constructively before ranking up.

According to my knowledge, the Merit System began in late January 2018 introduced by Theymos, and all active accounts that time received number of Merits based on their position. If i am not mistaken, this was introduced to maintain consistency of the forum flow by lining it with the ranking standards.

If you want to earn merits in order to progress on the forum and be able to participate in higher paying btc signature campaigns, then you will have to work harder and write better posts.
I provide merits for posts that contribute to the forum or members with some new useful information, and if you become a member which can contribute to the forum in such way, you don't have to worry about merits and forum rank  Grin

1. is there a limited supply for merit points??
Of course, here are the statistics.
2. how merit points are released to the forum and is there a shedule for it like activity shedule?
Any user can send and receive merit at any time without any time limit, but if you mean about ATM as a merit source, then I think only the merit source and admins know about it. Merit source ATMs will usually be refillable monthly regardless of whether they deplete their sourced supply in a month or not.

3. by whome merit points are released to the forum??
AFAIK, if previously 111 merit sources were appointed to distribute merit, now only 110. I don't know who is missing, but they are contributors that are selectively appointed by the admin.

In addition, there are about 153,881 users (including merit sources) have distributed smerit to other users (219,960 users) with a total merit score of 1,266,669 so far based on merit dashboard. Without exception, if you have sMerit then you can also distribute it to other users.

1. is there a limited supply for merit points??

Yes. ~20-30 thousand merits are distributed per month, although in theory 60+ thousand are available.

2. how merit points are released to the forum and is there a shedule for it like activity shedule?

There is no schedule. You can get merits only if other users merit your posts

3. by whome merit points are released to the forum??

There are ~100 users who are appointed merit sources and get "sendable merits" that they can send to other users.

All other users can send merits too, albeit "recycled" ones - once a users gets merits for posts, they also get half as many sendable merits. For example, once you earn at least two merits, you will have one merit that you can send and so on. Sendable merits are separate and do not reduce your earned merits that count for ranks etc.

could anyone explain me these things?? Thank you.

Make sure to read the threads other users posted above.
