Let me bump this thread. I support more merit source for higher capacity on looking good post to be merited. The more eyes that could see the quality post the higher the chance it will likely to get merit.
But, if the allocation for the merits to all merit source is limited then I suggest to lessen the smerits allocation but spreading it to more merit source to look for a quality post to be merited.
The more merit source the happier it will be.

My bad, I thought you are already on merit source. As a part of my support about merit source I am also supporting coinlocket$. I believe that we need more merit source on this forum. Honestly every merit sources spend their merit on different criteria users. So increase merit source means all kind of good poster will able to rank up. Hope theymos will approve your application.
