I found theymos' reply
The point was to undo all of the effects (over multiple steps) of that source's recent sends. Beyond that, the individual negated merit transactions weren't important.

There were 3 x 50 sMerit TXs deleted back in July 2018, due to a hacker gaining control of an account and sending sMerit during the takeover period (see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.42558257):

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34284719
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.36115570
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.39872242
Those TXs where deleted, meaning that they were undone as if they had never existed in the first place.

Another batch was reverted on the 5th of February 2019. On this occasion, 16 TXs were reverted, but with a different approach: rather than delete the original TXs, a set of 16 counter TXs were sent from userId “0” and relative to message “0.msg0”. The net effect is that the initial sMerit TXs still exists, but the recipients did not benefit from them since they were countered.
Example:
Code:
time         amount msg                user_from user_to converted_date
1549404430 -10 0.msg0                 0 2536607 2019-02-05 22:07:10.000
1549337375 10 5104397.msg49511060 393142 2536607 2019-02-05 03:29:35.000
The 16 counter TXs emited so far are:
Code:
time        amount msg user_from user_to      converted_date
1549404431 -2 0.msg0 0 92110 2019-02-05 22:07:11.000
1549404430 -5 0.msg0 0 81995 2019-02-05 22:07:10.000

I think I remembered correctly that there are serious merit abusements, if it is not the case of QuestionAuthority, it should be case of hacked accounts. Then theymos reverted all related merit transactions of hacked account(s). That time, some people got troubles with statistics from those cases. Negative figures for received / sent merits. It was months ago, maybe in 2018, so I did not remember where are threads about that. People saw those figures from merit data dumps by themos or from profile pages of abused accounts.
After those cases, theymos wrote only serious abusement cases should be handled manually that way, for rest cases (minor abusements), just let it be because abusers will not be able to abuse for too long. Send merits back and forth several times (with minor amount) don't change anything, especially don't help them to hit new ranks.
30 merits for a post like that, oh, I need two posts to become a Senior Member. Who will be a second QA? Smiley

First received or earned merit in the forum is the first one that sent from theymos to AdolfinWolf for that thread asks for explanation on merit system.
Huh.  That's interesting--I never asked myself who'd received the first merit for a post, and I would have figured it was Theymos.

The first few days of the merit system were crazy.  In the thread that introduced the system and in some of the related threads, there was a lot of merits being handed out for posts that were kind of just meh.  I think I recall Vod getting a whole bunch for one of his posts, and it's now clear that a lot of people didn't grasp how important merits really were.  You don't see 50 merits being given out for a single post much anymore, but that happened a few times early on.

The very first merit transaction was 1 merit sent from theymos to AdolfinWolf for this topic: What is the function of the "Merit" score?. This transaction was made around an hour before theymos started the topic announcing the merit system.

Nearly found it, but still need details of first reverted merits!
theymos never actually posted himself to say he removed QuestionAuthority as a source, but QA confirmed it in this post:

Apologies to all concerned, I will no longer be handing out merit in this thread. Theymos removed me as a merit source because he disagreed with the way I spent my merit. I will leave this thread open and you can continue to post merit requests here if you like; however, I won’t be answering them.

Good luck to all.

CBH

These merits were not reverted. You can still see them in a number of posts following this post by QA in the WO thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.46588186

Isn't printscreening a solution for these kinds of paid services? Not unless they have a security permissions like Netflix that detects and blocks the printscreen function you can freely do it on any infographic you produce on that website. For uploading the screenshot images themselves I think you must go to image hosting services like postimage where you can choose what size (original or  resized resolution) of the image can be uploaded. The good thing is they also let you create your own account where you can store and organize your uploaded images to them, it's pretty neat actually.

Anyway, if you're about to make an infographic with that design, I think using Photoshop is fine and enough.

It's easy to use Photoshop because CC isn't complex, unlike CS where shortcuts are having difficulties.
You will just use .png flat icons and shapes, text for the little information you wanted to give.

The infographics of the OP are pixelated because maybe she/he saved it through phone or screen capture. If the picture is in high quality then it will maximize the space on the OP.

If I’m right, I make it the “Merit & new rank requirements” thread being merited on the 96th sMerit TX. Theymos was the first to generate an sMerit TX to @AdolfinWolf in Meta, but only a few seconds before @Last of the V8s merited @Rosewater Foundation on the Wall Observer thread. There is even an Ann in the top 10 early bird TXs.

See first 1000 sMerit TXs here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hs4HvhBeVCjRY7j5kw-GGYIye64hlg-Tu396h13PQiM/edit?usp=sharing

Was the first merit receiver AdolfinWolf? I thought it was theymos who received merit, on the merit announcement thread itself. I'm not really much sure though.
You are wrong. Everyone in the forum got airdropped merits at the same time, but those merits are not received merits for contributions after merit system began. First received or earned merit in the forum is the first one that sent from theymos to AdolfinWolf for that thread asks for explanation on merit system. I think using first earned merit, is more correctly.

I had no interest on the infograph you provided but I am leaving this post because of the first response made on this topic.

This is not Imgur's fault.
OP clearly stated this,
As a result of that, after creating, I have to copy and into Word, crop, then copy into Paint, and upload it into Imgur. At the end, the infographic looks blurred, and low quality.
The image lost it's quality in this process of course nothing has to do with Imgur.

So if anyone knows which site allows to directly publish infographic with free account, please help.

Long I go I tried with canva not sure if they still do it. Here: https://www.canva.com/templates/infographics

I don't know any site for making infographic but I tried to search some and found out a lot of them. While you still don't have a free infographic maker website yet why don't you try to use those free websites that claims to be free? Just try to make a simple infographic and see if you can publish and download it for free. You're lucky if you found one.

Anyway, if you're about to make an infographic with that design, I think using Photoshop is fine and enough.

I would like to get site that can make infographic and download it when finished, without requirements to upgrade account.
I am thankful to your reminder, LoyceV. They are sMerits, not merits, I checked.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topsend

In less than a day we already sent more sMerits (11k+) than sources will gain in a month (~8k). Anyone knows how many sMerits have been distributed to existing members?

About 600k.
The 600k airdrop was sMerit, not Merit. The total amount of airdropped Merit is much larger.

There was at least one incident in which theymos undid Merit transactions by sending "negative sMerit", and another in which he simply removed the original Merit transaction. In that case, a hacked account was used to send (I think) 3 times 50 sMerit, but I can't easily find back the reference thread.
I might try to search, and I remembered that was a hot topic months ago. It is likely @DdmrDdmr is one of people posted merit tx of those abused merit transactions, and other from one or two merit sources (that removed as sources later). All of them reverted back by admin, I remember.
Nearly found it, but still need details of first reverted merits!
Here's a piece of potential gossip.

It appears that within the past day or two, the number of merit sources has gone down from 120 to 119.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=sources

And it was a big one, 1000 sMerits worth - the total went down from 23045 to 22045:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.45811297

I'm gonna guess it was QuestionAuthority.

Anyway, for now, my priority is a free site on which I can create infographic and download it, for free. Please help if you know it, everyone.

When I did my very first and only infographic on the forum; [Infographic]: Guide on possible reasons to leave a -ve/+ve trust feedbacks. Forget about my simple template, just needed to pass an information. I did used Canva: Graphic Design & Logo, Flyer, Poster maker. Note: the link leads directly to Google playstore. I downloaded the app with my mobile phone, after creating the infographic downloaded it to my phone then uploaded on imgur before uploading on forum. I didn't have any knowledge about creating infographic so that was the easiest way I could used.

Although you have to upgrade your account to have privileges to more features, their free account has hundreds of different template and designs you can choose from and the App is quite easy to navigate. Haven't used the App since then to inform you about any possible chances to expect but you can try it out might just give you what you want.

Let me get this clear. You made the infographic on a website that requires you to pay for a higher-resolution download of the infographic right? If so, there's nothing you can do but choose another platform or simply pay the platform you used. The platform you used simply gave you a low-res version of the infographic you made, or you probably simply did a screenshot and removed the watermark.

This is not Imgur's fault. If the infographic image you have has decent resolution, then it would've still looked fine when you uploaded it on Imgur. Afaik Imgur doesn't compress or reduce the resolution of images uploaded on their site.
