I just checked the address through ether scan, and it seems metamask is showing a different number of tokens you have, hence the abnormal value

Quick question: Did you add the token to the wallet manually, or it all just appeared automatically? It seems there's a problem with the required decimals.

I added the token manually to my wallet.
There is a likelihood that you made an error when writing the decimals. The figure should be 18 as per the profile information from Etherscan (https://etherscan.io/token/0x72dd4b6bd852a3aa172be4d6c5a6dbec588cf131) so that you don't get to see the false and abnormal number of tokens that appear to be in your wallet.

This is a bug that often occurs with all tokens, whether it's from spam tokens or airdrops that usually occur in all user wallets, I also have several tokens like that, but when I check the actual price is not that much, so I think just leave the token  be in your wallet, to be your encouragement..😁😁

A bug, a glitch.
Looking at the etherscan, you've got 72 of it and that happens in some other wallets too like Trust wallet. If that does happens to me, I'll check it first in the explorer to check if it's a real thing to have not that much expectation because it'll lead you to have a false hope.
Sometimes it do happens and you can report that to Metamask so that they can fix it.
An airdrop won't cost that much and everybody knows about that, I guess the most that has an airdrop was given was about $2k as the highest for tokens IMO.

in that case, maybe you forget to enter the decimal when you added the token manually.
if you check the etherscan you will say that there is a decimal that should be 18 but you enter 0 so in your wallet there is no decimal.

Metamask seems to think that all the NGC coins are in my wallet.
I've received NGC after participating at their ICO (for 100$) some years ago. Now it shows something like that:

I've tried to send 1000$ in NGC to my account at Poloniex, but unsuccessfull.
Does any body have any ideas how to use this situation ?

your problem is actually very easy, you just write the wrong number of decimals in that token, this is the correct field for your metamask

Contract: 0x72dd4b6bd852a3aa172be4d6c5a6dbec588cf131
Decimals: 18
Symbol : NGC

i saw your conversation in this thread and i see it looks like you wrote it manually and it's not correct, please try again or edit the Decimals section, it looks like you didn't write decimals correctly so it looks like a very large number, if you write decimals correctly like the example me above you will get your actual NGC count, hope it helps

To much speculation.

Metamask has already given a support guide for any kind of issue (Metamask showing a wrong balance): https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028059272-What-to-do-when-your-balance-of-tokens-is-incorrect read here.

Rather than wasting so much time, without a solid answer from a random user. It's normal by the way, most of user metamask always get this issue at least one.

Here is the image:

If that amount is real, @OP is a rich person but he can not send it to the exchanges. Wait, what network NGC uses? If the network is based on Ethereum, he needs to have many ETH balances on his account as the fees. But if the network is based on BSC, maybe the fee is not too high. Maybe you can try to lower the withdrawal amount and see if that is a success or failure.

By the way, you can check the price of NGC here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/naga/

It seems there is some problem in the link provided, for me it's not loading.

Check that your wallet is up to date and make sure the node is connected to the internet so the value maybe adjusted to actual value if it syncs perfectly. As of now you are a trillonaire. Cool

As others have said, this is just a glitch on bug in your Metamask wallet.

Well if you wanted to test it out then why not try to withdraw and see how it goes? If not they you are rich as f**k, hehehe. For sure though you know how much NGC you have in your wallet and that is the most important thing. Not the trillions of amount you have because you know that it's fake.

...Try connecting with PancakeSwap for example. But never have BNB gas in your wallet, okay. So leave the wallet empty with no gas costs.

Usually fake tokens will ask for a BNB fee that is greater than the original price of the token. It's tantamount to us sending gas to the scammers.

When you approve or confirm a transaction in Metamask, the amount that will be debited for this operation is necessarily indicated there. Therefore, it is necessary to be attentive when working with a wallet and if you see a high commission, you just need to refuse to perform this transaction.

Apart from that it's not the actual price, I have a tip to confirm if it's a fake token or not:

First, match the token address contract with the contract address in cmc or on the official website.

Second, this method is a bit tricky, so be careful.

Try connecting with PancakeSwap for example. But never have BNB gas in your wallet, okay. So leave the wallet empty with no gas costs.

Yes, of course it's a bug. It happened to me. You can remove the token and add it again manually. Also in the settings there are options with decimal additions, as you have already been told here. Now I don’t remember exactly how this is done, but there you can throw off all the settings and history, as well as delete the wallet and download again, that is, there are several options. Just be careful with the settings and check everything before clicking anywhere.

It's only a usual bug. It's the same like trustwallet which was sometime showing in accurate price. It was taking the information from the scanner aka explorer and once explorer was taking the wrong price and then it will appear in your metamask. It's better to check the actual price through the telegram group that owned by the developers or you can try to search that by using smartcontract on the website like dextool or something else to get actual price for the token.

Thank you for your help. Good luck to you Smiley

I also checked the address on two different explorer and both shows the same calculated value of the token.  It looks like the amount on metamask is just a visual glitch.  It will fix itself when everything is updated.

Checking it on ethplorer.io and etherscan.io is enough since the price of the token is already registered there.  And if ever, it is better to check the price on exchanges or platform that is trading.  It is way more precise, IMO.

Lol, that's one hell of an amount for someone who participated in an airdrop  Grin

It might be some sort of bug, could you please share your address, and we look into it if you don't mind?
Or you could check it yourself on Etherscan and find out how much NGC is actually in your wallet.
