The Metropolis hard fork came, happened and most people were not even aware of is happening. With low propaganda surrounding this announcement. This was the fifth fork, established on the Ethereum Network, bringing new performances to the platform. This fork is planed since 2015, by the Ethereum core developer team, and it was divided in 2 fases Byzantium e Constantinopla. The date for the 2º fase is not yet planned.

But there is a problem about the hardfork and i hope that will be go for smoothly said that you must train to understand about the fact that byzantium is really interested update because that will come with not only byzantium improvement. The ice age code seems to be a big bet about the next hardfork.

Is this the part when Ethereum switches to POS? I've been waiting for this for ages (in crypto time), I really didn't think it would happen.

Where would all those miners go now? ETC, ZEC, XMR...?
