This is really going to affects him if all is videos are deleted without backup. This is why content creators need to have a hard drive backup system incase this kind of scene happens. The rate of hacking this days is very alarming, one need to ensure that the use of sophisticated password and security login details is of important need especially if one is an idol of popular figure in the society. This is noted and further precautionary measures will be taking to prevent repeated scene.

I do not think that really Ethereum team or some Ethereum lovers hacked the acoount of this singer to promote Ethereum, of course. There are some type of hackers nowadays that do some things just for joy or their own fun or pleasure and that is all. There is such a tendency nowadays among youth. And not only on YouTube or with cryptocurrency such things happen.

From the screen capture, I can see something that is definitely a "doubler" scam

bonusbyeth(dot)com/eth/

The usual scam giveaway, nothing to do with promoting ethereum.
Also pretty interesting, the owner of the channel didn't realize this is a scam, not a promotion, if he had a few coins he might have been a victim too.

YT creators should have their videos saved locally on their disks as well - since it's very dumb to use Youtube's storage as the only backup for reasons like this - so at least the videos aren't gone for good. It's probably just the video titles, descriptions, and metadata at worst.

Makes me wonder how they managed to break into his account in the first place. Didn't he use 2FA on his Google account?

This is the first time I see hackers using someone else's YouTube channel in this way. Until now, only scams have been promoted after such attacks. Here I see the opposite ... it looks more like a silly joke than trying to harm the owner and his fans.
I wonder how this story will end, because I don't see any scam attempt here, so hopefully everything will work out without harm to cryptocurrencies.

Possibly there is a link to some phishing site somewhere in the text, but I haven't seen anything like that.

Note for mod- I'm not sure where to put this. Please put it on correct board and remove this note if possible.

Mevlan Kurtishi is an Arabian Islamic Singer. I'm following him for a long time. I really enjoy his channel.

Recently, someone hacked his channel and uploaded a video with title like "Ethereum can destroy Bitcoin in 2021". What the fuck is this?
Mevlan Kurtishi probably have no idea and that's why he said his channel has been hacked by "Ethereum" to promote their coin which is misleading. Some unknown hackers hacked and promoting Ethereum. That's it.

Hacking someone's account is a bad thing but it seems weird to know that the hacker was instead promoting Ethereum  Grin
Why would somebody do that?
It would have made sense if the hacker was promoting some scam coin so that he could get money out of it but why Ethereum.
Ethereum is already quite popular and needs no such promotion but such an action is only a bad publicity for Ethereum.

It seems that hackers have targeted his channel, is an influencer and wants to get ETH high, using his website and channel to advertise. and I have also been taken by them very sophisticatedly and sly all the data even if it is private they can still find it.

Though we're mostly Bitcoiners here, I totally doubt the only agenda of the hacker was to FUD Bitcoin and promote Ethereum. I could almost guarantee that the Ethereum shilling is just sort of a mirage, while the hackers/scammers promote probably some sort of fake exchange or something.

This is not the first time a youtube account of an influencer or an artist has been hacked but this is the first time I've seen the hacker not promoting a doubler scam or a fake giveaway. I guess this is another case of a negative publicity is still a publicity.
