Anyone have the same problem?

I used quite high gas, and the transaction is stuck for 40 hrs. The transaction was for the full amount of wallet (125ETH) so I cant do the traditional send 0 ETH as there is no gas left. Will the transaction eventually stop?

So far, I send ETH using MEW always works and only takes a short time,
so in my opinion, maybe the gas you use is less and it makes ETH you send fail or takes a long time, therefore I suggest that if you want to send ETH it's better to use high gas, so that ETH you send is faster and doesn't fail.
Exactly! Before making any transaction i always make sure the gas price using https://etherscan.io/gastracker this site.
I always prefer put a bit little gas than its demand in order to quick confirmation time of transactions. So far, I've no issue with MEW!

Yes, i did experienced it before that worse it took me four days to get my transactions to succeed on Ethereum network and it's really frustrating occurrences that the congestion of the network is getting worst even using high fees to it, still requires couple of days to complete it.  Gas fees are now in demand and it's a quite problem in my part because i cannot send my tokens to exchange due to high fees. As much i wanted to sell my tokens but gas fee won't allow me to do it. I guess i have to wait for gas fees to come down a bit for me to transfer my assets.

This is what you should do when this occurs next time, just import the wallet to imtoken2.0 and send out to your other private wallet, I mean send the 125 or whatever quantity it may be to another private wallet  and initiate a fresh transaction from the imtoken using the recommended highest imtoken default fee. This works in 30secs to 3mins.

I have come across the same problem, I have to transact for four days today. I wanted to transact up to their fixed gas price but it is still pending in my transaction. I can't make any withdrawals or deposits. I am also facing a lot of problems at the moment. Please let me know if you know how to get rid of it.

The same problem happened to me and the transaction remained stuck for a week, I sent another 0 ETH transaction to cancel the pending transaction, but unfortunately the transaction was also stuck and I have two pending transactions. After about a week, the first treatment failed, and the second transaction is now stuck.
The high fees for Ethereum are already very annoying and a solution must be found for this problem.

if you use metamask you can more easily cancel or renew with a higher amount of gas, but if you use MEW I can't help you to do that, but to my knowledge, for example, you send 1 ETH but it hasn't been confirmed, the funds you are still in a wallet not on the network so you can send the same amount but with higher GAS than before

I don't understand why people hesitate so much to increase the transaction fees and make the transaction.
In most cases, it hurts them a lot. They can't handle the burden of huge fees. You know, it really feels bad to see that the fee comes closer and closer to the amount of money you are sending as the network gets busier. Well we can't blame them either however they should understand how these things work. What would you expect to get from paying smaller gas Roll Eyes? You should bare the consequences of course or else don't do it.

I also almost have the same issue last time using my MEW which I have a transaction but after some time it happen to get failed so for me it is still okay because my token will still be in my wallet but when I opened again my MEW the token that I might have transfered is not in my wallet anymore and other than that it cost me some eth in my wallet even if the last time I check is a failed transaction.

Do you need all that amount in one go? Ethereum is really congested right now and there's nothing that you can do. When the transaction failed and you can send out again, try to send in batches if you really need the funds. You probably have to sacrifice $5 for each transaction though, and maybe more if it involves contract call.

There is this new hype around the defi things and so forth which means that gas fee's are higher but also they are a lot more volatile as well, they are moving around like crazy and one moment it shows that you should pay x amount of gas fee but in reality it is increasing like crazy behind the scenes so when you pay what you "should" pay it is increasing like crazy so the price goes up insanely high and yours stay behind because it was the bottom when you sent and now it is much higher.

This means that if you really want to make a change you should always pay higher than what you should, I use metamask and not mew but I always pay higher, that way I am always ahead of the schedule even if it goes up, because higher means even if it goes up that way I am still at the middle instead of high.

First of all why did you moved? If you wanted to move all those funds to your wallet which is more secure then you might imported the funds using private keys! Roll Eyes

Its okay, nothing to worry just buy some ethereum and initiate a transaction with the same hast with more fees.

Run into the same problem like a week ago.
Maybe it is just the heavy traffic of transactions since the movement had been really volatile.

If you did full gas and the push in which you make the same transaction then I don't think you can do anything anymore.
Just wait for it to be canceled and try again.

I also faced the same problem but my transaction was successful within eight hours maybe you made transaction with manual gas price that's why you're facing this problem you should try to make transaction on default gas price if you have enough eth for gas.

Transactions can be canceled if you make a new transaction, we cannot have 2 pending transactions out. I've tried it and it worked.

Have you tried to replace the transaction with higher gas fee ?
I think you used not enough gas fee. If you want your transaction to be done fast, you must see the gas tracker.
USDT token is using very high gas fee and you should follow their gas fee so your transaction would be done fast.

if I may know how much the cost of the gas you have used? have you checked this before making a transaction https://ethgasstation.info/? if within 2 days your request has not been confirmed, the transaction will be canceled

As you don't have any other balance left on your mew wallet, I will suggest you to cancel the transaction. MEW have the feature on it. You can either speed up a transaction with adding extra gas fee or you can cancel the transaction also. Please check out this article and follow the steps to cancel the transaction and then resend it with more gas fee. As you save 125 ETH it will not be a problem to spend some extra gas to save your time.

You have to set your Gas limit above the minimum required by ethereum network  because your transaction cannot be processed if your Gas is below the minimum required by the ethereum network. I already experience like what you said but after increasing the gas limit ,my transaction is successfully processed.

no, the transaction will continue. It is only temporary. I've been in a position like you, and a maximum of 3 days will continue.
but you don't forget to set the appropriate GAS so that it can be processed immediately

Almost everyone have this problem due to the congested network. How much gas fee you had used for such a big transaction of 125 ethereum? AFAIK, current recommended gas fee is about 300 which you may not aware of it.

It may take months for the transaction to get cancelled so better refill your wallet and increase the fee for faster confirmation.

the network is really crowded and it seems you think you are already setting the gas high enough but maybe youre following the old gas price and therefore makes your transaction stuck. this kind of case you just need to wait it's gonna be succesfully sent or your money goes back to your wallet. youre not gonna lost your money.

I think ETH is still in your wallet because it is unconfirmed in the ETH network, so just raise the gas fee really high and I believe your transaction will be confirmed soon. Btw you're moving 125 ETH so try to pay 5-10 $ in fees, it will definitely be fine

It is pretty normal nowadays, Ethereum network is overloaded due to high number of transactions on Ethereum network caused by DeFi fewer. You can wait or you can cancel your transaction, by sending 0ETH value transaction to yourself with higher fees.

fill your wallet with a little more Ethereum, then increase the GAS you are using to normal GAS ...

You can check ethgasstation.com to find out how much GAS is normal and what is the transaction speed when using a specific amount of GAS

good luck and hope your 120 ETH will be sent soon

I've had the same problem as you. the transaction was delayed because the GAS fee was too small, so I tried to repeat the transaction with a higher amount of GAS and it worked. try to see your current balance, if the amount of ETH is still there, try again with a higher GAS. The GAS problem, which is currently increasing, may not be a significant problem for big traders, but for small traders like me, of course this is a big problem, because I only get a small profit.

In my mobile wallet they will suggest you use a high transaction fee so it will get mine quickly, this days transaction fee is a problem,  if you don't want you transaction to get stuck than you try increase the gas, sadly this is what we have to face with using eth blockchain, hope this high feed will readjust sometime soon.

If you don't have any problem spending some extra GWEI as a gas fee then use the speed-up transaction feature of MEW which will save you a lot of time. You can also cancel a transaction using mew.

I hope, such high tx fees won't get usual. For big transactions of several k USD it is still cheap but for smaller ones tx fees are very wasteful.
For now, I'm just waiting, avoid transactions and try to transfer Ethereum or ERC-20 later.

Hy mate, the ethereum network is very congested and you made your transaction stuck by using low fee. It may take some time before confirmination.
How ever, I suggest you get some amount of Ether to try the below step. It actually work some days ago, when someone complained about pending transaction.

Quote from: minairia3 link=https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54968102
found this instruction worth trying.

Canceling means generating a 0 ETH transaction to your own address with the purpose of preventing a previous transaction from “going through” / “being mined” / “being included in the blockchain” / “being stuck”.

Step 1. Head to Etherscan.io or Ethplorer.io.

Step 2. Paste your transaction hash.

If it says pending, you can still try to cancel it.
If it says not found, click the button again, waiting a few minutes between each click. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely your transaction never went through.
If it says success, you cannot try to cancel it.
Step 3. If it says pending, access the wallet you used to send the original transaction on MEW.

Step 4. Send a transaction to yourself with a balance of 0 ETH.

Step 5. Click the ‘Send Transaction’ button.

Step 6. A dialog will appear. Click the “Yes, I’m Sure” button to send.

Step 7. A new transaction hash will appear. Click the link to view it and see if you were successful. If it doesn’t show up immediately, try refreshing in a few minutes.

I never tried it before but you can resort to this method. Usually when my transaction is pending Ive just replace it with higher gas but never actually tried to cancel it. Depends also on the miners and the gas fee you used. Chances that your first transaction to be replace by the second one is high as long as you put a higher has fee.

It will be dropped if it won't pushthrough. If it's drop in the network, increase more the fee.
Yours is 125 ETH, fees would be regretting to spend.

Many people who transact with gas standard or under his for the thrifty fee but it turns out most will fail and only a few successful to have gotten right transaction success with 2. hours time Check your etherscan, you will get information about the cost of gas the minimum necessary, try to add a higher gas to process the transactions are quickly and successfully.

It seems like this incident is the same as my friend, he sent some eth for a low fee but the transaction he did was very long for the entry process, I think he had to wait 2 hours then the transaction he did automatically failed and he sent it back with very very fuel costs high, then it worked. I think you are using too low a transaction fee and therefore taking a long time to send. We recommend that if you want to transact quickly, it is better if you use standard or high fees so that there are no problems in the transactions you do.

Will the transaction eventually stop?

The transaction will be canceled within 2-3 days if the network is not able to confirm it successfully.

if you go to ethescan, you will get info about the minimum GAS fee required for current transactions to be confirmed by the network for at least the longest time. You have to set your GAS at least more than that maybe douuble or triple to get confirmation faster.

You should have put the transaction link here for us to be sure the issue you are having is indeed related to the gas used. If the gas is not enough, the transaction would cancelled and your Ether would return to your address unless you have another issue.

How much do you use GAS? I have experience sent with quite a lot of gas and still pending,
but after I made the same transaction 2 times and added gas, my transaction was successful, try to increase your GAS
