In its early years, it really made a great contribution to the crypto money market. No one can deny this, as you said and as it was said on the post before. He has hurt many people with his actions in the last period. Recently, he became a consultant to many projects by using his name only in exchange for his name. Later, these projects collected tokens at low prices and caused serious manipulations. I can even give an example of the ethershift project for this. By using his name in this project, he earned some serious money, but besides what he earned, he caused serious money to be lost in new investors.

A self centered individual like him commiting suicide is indigestible. He always thought about himself first and that was the main reason why most of those projects that he promoted were failure. He might have been the father of antivirus technology but he was unable to carry on with his legacy as he sold his company later on. He is one of the most tainted influencer in the crypto sphere and he will be remembered like that.

yes, you are right, he has made a great contribution to crypto money. I absolutely cannot deny this. It has spread to large masses and has played a big role in the entry of very serious hot money into the crypto money market. But I can't deny the other part. In addition to what they did, it also caused many people to suffer serious losses.

That's why I'm acknowledging what he has done to his craft before his controversies with cryptocurrencies.

Most of us did witnessed the popularity of McAfee and those were the days that we're younger. But now that the founder of his is no longer with us, that will also be part of our childhood because it's one of the first anti virus that we knew.

we really dont know what actually happen to john mc afee and personally i dont want to speculate about it. no matter with his promotion to shitproject in the past, but atleast he has contribution to crypto community growing till now on. alot people attracted to crypto currency due his tweet about bitcoin price altough we know it didnt realize yet.

RIP, although McAfee is misunderstood because of his bold claim, I will say that I agree with him the crypto will be our last hope for financial independence.

Actually it already happened since 2017, many people became rich because of their early investments on bitcoin. So that's right now, many are still hoping that bitcoin will reach 6 digits as he predicted. Just sad to hear that he ended his own life. Now its our time to turn our dreams just like what John McAfee said, financial independence and freedom from governments.

mcafee was a solid figure in the cryptocurrency world. However, when we take a look at the projects it supports, it has always been at low prices in the first stage, and then it showed a serious rise with its own tweets and money. At the end of this, he often caused serious losses to investors by selling tokens in his hand. Although he is a legend in the world of crypto money, many of his projects were completely enigmatic to me. While many people made money thanks to this, many people lost serious money. Her death is not suicide for me, but I think she was killed.

The last stage of his life had been tainted by controversies. But it doesn't mean, his legacy in antivirus industry is  not acknowledged. He may had made wrong decisions in endorsing a lot of crypto projects before, but some became crypto enthusiasts because of him. Just unfortunate that a lot of projects supported by him turned to be a pump and dump schemes. Anyway, just look at the positive side of his life, and we will be grateful for the legacy he left behind. How many here grew up hearing McAfee Anti-virus? I bet, most of us.

With his prediction about 2020 ending to $500,000 many have been caught by it and believed because it's such a high price. But eventually, that prediction didn't happened.

The good thing about the end of 2020 was it's the start of the bull run that we've seen and despite the market dumped a lot, still the prices for most cryptos are still good.

Rest in peace to the founder of McAfee, his legacy will remain and his company will keep going and what he had done to the community as a bitcoin bull but we don't like what he did for shilling altcoins from day to day basis before.

According to BBC, John McAfee, the founder of McAfee, was found dead of suspected suicide in jail in Spain on June 23.

John McAfee is the founder of the world’s first commercial antivirus software McAfee and is known as the father of antivirus software. In addition, he was a US presidential candidate twice and a fan of cryptocurrency.

In 2017, McAfee once proclaimed about the prospect of Bitcoin reaching $500,000 USD and later revised his target price to $1 million USD. Unfortunately, McAfee no longer has a chance to see Bitcoin reach $500,000 USD.

In December 2017, just as Bitcoins rose to $16,600 USD at the end of the last bull run, John McAfee tweeted that those in the old school believe it was a bubble, but in reality, they just didn’t understand blockchain.

However, only a month later, John McAfee’s view was countered by a sharp downturn in the crypto market when the arrival of a bear market decimated the crypto prices.

In 2018, the Bithemoth trading platform released a list of the Top 5 Cryptocurrency Celebrities. John McAfee topped the celebrity list as his tweets were very influential and entertaining, while the other four were Satoshi Nakamoto, Vitalik, Zhao Changpeng and Roger Ver.

In 2020, John McAfee was charged by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for failing to disclose his fee-based promotion of ICO-related projects, and was arrested in October at Barcelona’s El Prat airport for tax evasion. He was held in a local prison by decree of the Spanish National Court and has since been in jail in Spain.

McAfee has been close to cryptocurrencies for many years, and on May 25, he claimed that cryptocurrencies were the last hope for our financial independence.
