In the Russian version of the forum, мoderator xandry removed this topic under the pretext - Reason: there is a topic about Boeing - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--699958, do not duplicate it. However, the topic to which the moderator refers has a completely opposite meaning. By the way, the criminal trial has finally ended, the district court in The Hague found three guilty of shooting down the Malaysian Boeing flight MH17, sentencing them to life imprisonment. Russia refused to extradite them, motivating the process with a political order.

Since Russia doesn't acknowledge this court, the court findings mean nothing in Russia. Besides, the way courts work these days, they might have found the three guilty through unscrupulous, unconscionable, faulty judging.

As the Russians used to blame the tragedy at Katyn on the Germans, resorting to outright lies, such as an investigation by the government commission of Burdenko, which blamed the Germans for the execution of Polish prisoners of war, today the Kremlin blames Ukrainians for the death of a Malaysian airliner.

I always wondered what a passenger airliner was doing flying over a war zone? I remember reading that the plane was flying at 35000 feet then descended to 30000 feet where it was shot down. That article also said that the war zone started at 30000 feet. So.. pilot error? Let me see if I can find that article.

Not having much luck but I will keep looking.

I found an interesting wiki article.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17

"Some airlines started to avoid eastern Ukrainian airspace in early March 2014 due to the Crimean crisis.[42] In April, the International Civil Aviation Organization warned governments that there was a risk to commercial passenger flights over south-eastern Ukraine.[6]:217 The American Federal Aviation Administration issued restrictions on flights over Crimea, to the south of MH17's route, and advised airlines flying over some other parts of Ukraine to "exercise extreme caution". This warning did not include the MH17 crash region.[43][44] 37 airlines continued overflying eastern Ukraine and about 900 flights crossed the Donetsk region in the seven days before the Boeing 777 was shot down, with Aeroflot, Singapore Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines, Lufthansa and Malaysia Airlines being the most active carriers.[45]"

Seems everyone had fair warning of the potential dangers involved in flying over this warzone. Yet they chose to ignore it.. Why? Probably to save a few bucks of fuel. Flying around Ukraine would have definitely made it safer buy also a longer route costing more money.. money.

So why is everyone talking about Russia when clearly the airlines are at fault?

The investigation team, which includes representatives of five countries, concluded that the Boeing 777 carrying MH-17 was shot down over the Donbas on July 17, 2014 from the Buk unit belonging to the Kursk 53rd Air Defense Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces forces. The head of the central department of criminal investigations of the National Police of the Netherlands Vilbert Paulissen said: "All the cars in the escort that accompanied the missile system belonged to the Russian armed forces." At the press conference, a fragment of a missile that knocked down a passenger airliner was also demonstrated. https://www.bbc.com/russian/news-44236284
Putin and his chauvinists probably can not get away from the factual material provided by the investigation. No wonder Russia was against the creation of an international tribunal for this crime.

Relatives of passengers killed in the east of Ukraine in the summer of 2014 Malaysian "Boeing" won a lawsuit in the US court against Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who at that time commanded the forces of separatists from the so-called Donetsk People's Republic. The court awarded multimillion-dollar compensations to relatives, but the plaintiffs do not hope to receive them.

In total, the plaintiffs were awarded compensation of $ 500 million.

The claim was filed by relatives of 18 of the 298 dead passengers of MH17 flight one year after the tragedy on the basis of the "Law on the Protection of Victims of Torture", which placed him in American jurisdiction. In addition, the plaintiff Yasmin Kahler, who filed a lawsuit on behalf of the dead Shaki Panduvinata and Miguel Panduvaty, is a US citizen.

But the main culprit in the death of people is the fascist Putin, who is to be tried by an international tribunal.

Today it was decided that the court in the case of the downed Boeing MH-17 will be held in the Netherlands. Putin is gradually losing its power and I am sure that this year will be the last year of his reign. Now about his presidential ambitions said Kadyrov. It will be very funny if the Russians choose a President who killed Russian soldiers.

To strengthen his power, Putin created the national guard.

The popularity of Russian President Vladimir Putin remains stable at more than 80 percent, despite growing concerns of an economic downturn and corruption among Russians, U.S. pollster Gallup said in its latest survey.

According to the survey, Russians' approval of their president remains undiminished from the high ratings they have given him since Russia's reunification with Crimea three years ago.

"More than eight in 10 Russians (81 percent) in 2016, Gallup's most recent year of polling in the country, said they approved of the job Putin is doing," Gallup said on its website.

The court in the case of the crash in the Donetsk region in July 2014 Malaysian Boeing aircraft will be held in the Netherlands, the Foreign Ministry said.
As is known, in 2015 Russia blocked the adoption of the UN Security Council resolution on the establishment of an international tribunal for a catastrophe, using the right of veto. Then the Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Kunders and then the Minister of Security and Justice of the country Ar van der Ster, the countries participating in the international investigation team went on to consider two main options for carrying out the process of criminals - the international tribunal bypassing the UN. http://Https://www.bfm.ru/news/358859
One way or another, Russia and Putin can not escape justice.

MH-17, or Russia in a lie

So, after a two-year investigation, the Netherlands published an interim report of an international group of experts on the cause of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777, MH-17 flight over the South-Eastern Territory of Ukraine, torn apart by Russian separatists in the military support of Russia.  Based on the collected reliable facts, the experts came to the conclusion that the aircraft was shot down by the Buk missile, which contradicts the radar data published in 2014 by the Ministry of Defense of Russia indicating the presence of the Ukrainian S-25 ground attack aircraft in the sky at the time of the crash that the air- Air "supposedly shot down a plane.

It seems that in the Russian power structures there is a competition to disavow Russia's guilt in the death of 298 people on the MH-17 flight.  The Kremlin is rushing from one absurdity to another.  Various mutually exclusive false assumptions are advanced to avoid responsibility for the downed "Boeing-777".  So, apparently from the assumption that the US space surveillance facilities could register the absence in the area of the incident of any air facility other than the Malaysian liner, the statement was followed that the airliner was hit by a ground-to-air missile launched from a territory controlled by the Ukrainian military With an indication of the exact location of the missile launch - near the settlement of Zaroshchenskoye.

However, the soil samples taken did not confirm the Russian version of the launch of the missile near Zaroshchenskoye.  From a survey of eyewitnesses it was revealed that the rocket was released near the village of Snezhnoe.  According to the soil samples taken, the exact location of the missile launch was established, namely the village of Pervomaisky, which is two kilometers from the Snezhnoye settlement, which is located on the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic.  The report also indicates that the Buk complex was transported across the Russian border and, after launching a missile on the Malaysian Boeing-777, was hurriedly transported back to Russia.

The lack of information on the progress of the investigation made it difficult for the Kremlin to choose the false options that refute the participation of Russian air defense in the Donetsk region.  In this connection, Russia's last reaction to the report of the Netherlands is interesting.  Russia presented new radar data at the time of Boeing's death, from which it follows that neither the missile, nor the Ukrainian attack aircraft, the radar station registered.  One can not help wondering why Russia had been hiding these data for two years, and had given the commission conducting the investigation only after acquainting itself with the report.  Moreover, how can Russia claim that the missile was launched by the Ukrainians from the village of Roshchenskoye, if, according to the data presented by it, the radar did not record any missiles at all.  It turns out that the flight MH-17 was not shot down, but fell by itself.  Absurd!  The Kremlin has finally become entangled in lies,

Now it is understandable why Russia vetoed the UN Security Council resolution on the creation of an international tribunal on the death of the MH-17 flight.  The main liar of the Lying Empire (1) is trying to divert the Russian military's guilt from the death of 298 people.

It's time for Russia to be expelled from the UN for the aggression in Georgia and Ukraine, for blood-drenched Chechnya, as the Soviet Union was once expelled from the League of Nations for the unleashed war with Finland in 1939.  The international community must finally realize that it is useless to negotiate, let alone sign any documents with a lying Russia.
