Why would this be useful? If Bob needs that in US dollars, I'm happy to PayPal him the funds at spot price, and there are a lot others.

If anyone has seen or have participated in KIVA knows the power of micro-lending.
I wonder if it could be set up to exchange currency in that way?
eg. Bob has 40 btc and needs that in US dollars...
400 people all over the world chip in and exchange it and the service takes a cut along with kicking back a % to the 400 people.
The service would be acting as an escrow. Not sure on the legality of it all but I'm sure many would participate and the problem of trust would also be a non issue.
What do you think?
