And so, try to tell me that microsoft wants to earn with your picture? I think that the economic situation of microsoft is sufficient to don't do some of this.

Blackmail is very lucrative business.

They wouldn't use that data for blackmail, more like selling your data to advertisers to target their ads.

You are so unfair and rude in the title of your thread, here. They aren't ALL bastards! Some of them have REAL parents and families.

There is no such thing as privacy anymore.

Even for your private pictures ?

Read your EULAs. A lot of companies, like google, consider anything in your system if you agree to install their programs. Any online service states that anything you upload belongs to them

Do people read EULAs?  Grin

It's unreasonable to expect privacy on any device with an active connection to the Internet. Courts are quickly reversing old precedents and going with this. Corporate IP unaffected. Roll Eyes

Imagine, every skype call you've had since Microsoft bought it has been recorded, and is now most likely stored on a server. FEELSGOODMAN?

Reputation first.
Think that this isn't possible. But, only thing that I can say is that when you upload an image on internet, this image will remain FOREVER. So, indirectly all people upload their picture on internet, not company like microsoft (for example).

I've noticed a lot of facebook and skype "irritants" lately. It's almost as if they're deliberately trying to piss people off so that they disconnect and isolate themselves for ideological reasons such as privacy or unfavourable terms and conditions.

It's fucking suspicious, so keep as many communication channels open as you can in the near future.

Really is time to make sure everything is encrypted because there's no way corporations like Microsoft are going to respect our privacy lol Tongue

I know... I debated about that on the French section, gems is not so good for privacy and nxtty is full of bug... But as i said microsoft did not do that before... It's cause of all this fucking hype about the cloud and the "data is the new oil" bullshit...

Don't upload personal photographs etc. unless you want them to be up on the internet forever, this is why it's a good idea to use chat or in fact call instead because unless they somehow stream it to their servers which I hope they're not doing they shouldn't really be able to mess with that.

I has leave all social media for privacy issues. But for a long time skype did not upload your private file sharing on the cloud and let it visible for everybody, what a stupid thing...
