Can't say I blame him considering his position with Bitcoin types these days. I wonder if any other old schoolers will find future big bucks hard to resist.

I think Mike hearn has the worst reputation in bitcoin ecosystem. Is not suprise this news.  I only hope Mike hearn to stay in this R3 altcoin system and leave bitcoin forever. Is something good and for him and for bitcoin.

I agree, good riddance and bitcoin will do better without his BS
I wonder if Gavin will follow later

Secondly, I am beyond excited that Mike Hearn has joined us as our Lead Platform Engineer. He brings half a decade of experience of blockchain and cryptocurrency development and over seven years of experience helping run some of Google’s most heavily-trafficked websites. The combination of deep understanding of blockchain technologies and real-life experience of building rock-solid internet-scale production platforms is truly unmatched in the industry. And his involvement in the recent bitcoin blocksize debate gives me confidence he can hold his own against a group of very opinionated bank architects…

Still anybody here who thinks that this guy only wanted the best for Bitcoin?
Now what do you think Gavin is about?

Hey dumbass, while you're at it, why dont you ask the same for the group of core dev that now are building a business to hinder bitcoin's growth? Blockstream ? ever heard of it.

Hehe I don't give a f*** what your opinion here is.
Better you join himm when you already haven't. Since his stupid xt seems to be done it seems he saw no other choice than to join those bastards!Ergo he is one of them.Doesn't matter. No big loss here. Grin
And as you're backing him you seem to belong to these group as well.
Good day!
One more on my ignore list.

He's probably telling the banks "yeah you guys are right, bitcoin is full of white male libertarian bros."

I think bitcoin needs these kinds of things to succeed. Sure their initiatives aren't directly about Bitcoin, but eventually they'll arrive at the conclusion that they'll need to centralise everything in order to reach the level of control that any institution or government requires.

Mike is joining a group to study blockchain solutions to banking industry. At least that is not hindering bitcoin development.
