At my early stage of gambling when I  started gambling newly, I had this dilemma and I find it hard to control when I play and if I should continue playing; even though I might have losed. I usually played till I used up all my fund and extra fund. Then I felt I was addicted but luckily I reformed myself and caution myself. I try to play but always limit myself. If l lose, I dont see for extra fund and if I win, I don't become greedy and play more.

Have you all experience (us) gamblers to think that you need to continue but your thinking twice because there's a profit already in hand,
lot of question pop up to your mind
  • Do I need to continue what if I lose totally?
  • If I don't stop the casino might get back what I've profit so far!
  • Does it change anything if I win a lot or Do I need to quit before I get addicted to gambling?
I have this thinking inside of me each time I got some lucky stake inside both dice and sports betting, the problem in me is I always tend to continue thinking that I can earn more, but as always greediness just take away my chances to win, too late to realize that I should better to stop when I
have some even in a small profits instead of continuing and loses everything together with my bankroll.

Sometimes, I feel this kind of situation. If I said that this one is my goal like $1000 then after I got this my mind thinks again what if I win again? What if I win $500. So, if I realize this I will say to my self that I am now greedy, this isnot good. So, before we go to play gambling we need to control our self in about greediness because it will surely make us lose what we got.

Feeling of uncertain will lead you to a big loss. When I had enough on my hand I'm picking a small amount for pursuing if I'm still lucky and if that amount grows then I'll continue but if it lose I'll stop.
Do I need to continue what if I lose totally?
Just continue if you feel you can still win but with minimal amount.
If I don't stop the casino might get back what I've profit so far!
Don't gamble with your total winnings, save some for yourself.
Does it change anything if I win a lot or Do I need to quit before I get addicted to gambling?
If you win a lot of course it will change a lot of things and addiction is a different thing. When its too much whether you lose or win and you are unstoppable, that's addiction.

There is only one answer to this, your own satisfaction or contentment there are gamblers who knows how to quit after winning while the others have a thought tickling on their minds like what you stated. Mindset is the best ruler or dictator to oneself. If you continue it means you are ready to take more risk to win. If you don't stop casinos will not gave what you've lost.

Everyone's had this dilemma when they gamble of course. Especially if you're on a streak. Sometimes the situation you're in at the moment influences your decision of whether to quit or continue. Now the issue is if you'll be mature and responsible enough to know what to do. The answer is an easy one, the actions make it hard

A gambler life is full of risk and such questions are quiet normal when you're ahead. Honestly it's really difficult to answer such questions as it depends on what type of a gambler are you, what's your risk capacity. It's really difficult, but I would suggest you to split the profits and play with a certain amount and stop if you're loosing it. Learning when to be greedy and stopping is really important.

I'm like 50/50 with that.
When I have some good winnings, I sometimes stop. But there are times that I would still go on and lose everything.
Just don't be greedy man. Profit is a profit.

Let me answer you piece by piece.

1) Whether you want to continue gambling regardless of the amount you already won or lost, is all up to you. You may be influenced by so many factors but at the end of each day, it is YOU who has the power to make THE decision.

2) It is not true that casinos might get back what you have already realized because you already are the bearer of your profits.

3) Well, as related to your first question, it is all up to you. Your manner of handling wins and losses are determinative of the plausibility of you getting addicted to gambling. Hence, assess yourself very well.

Just a piece of advice, though, I hope you do not end up too greedy otherwise it may be your own downfall in the long run.

I always have a gameplay, setting everything before I play and follows it everytime and no matter how strong the desire to continue playing I always make sure that I follow the plan.  I do agree that it is often times hard to follow the pre-planning especially when we are winning because during those time we feel we are unbeatable and had mastered the game but it is a false belief since gambling games are games of randomness.  So thinking that stuff, I am able to force myself following the pre-planned stuff.

Well to be honest, the problem with gambling primarily depends on your greed with your profits. People tend to gamble more regardless of their success or failure due to its nature being risky. There exists this endless illusion that when people lose, they tend to gamble more thinking that it may recover their losses but in reality, they only lose more money. Now to control one's greed for profit, here are some tips that I think may help some individuals:

  • Only gamble the money that you are willing to lose and establish a maximum threshold for winnings or losings;
  • LEARN WHEN TO STOP GAMBLING. This may be difficult as greed may overpower your decisions but think of the long-term effects of it;
  • Do remember that gambling cannot always answer your financial problems or needs as it may only aggravate your situation; and
  • Try alternative ways of earning instead of relying on a riskier method that may make or break your status.

Though I do understand that gambling is some form of addiction, please try your best not to be blinded by the money that you get from it. Like what others said, its nature depends on risk. You may earn tons of cash today but there is no guarantee that it will happen again tomorrow.

That is always happened and that is the first  caused that gambler suffered a lost, gambler should set a limit before playing and must stick to that rules, and yes those questions will keep on appearing in every gambler mind when they won, and I strongly suggest that you always use clear mind to play, when you won you will feel like on the top of the  world and can be reckless and that can  lead you to addiction

Gambling gives false hope to many, that's how I see it, if people win they will continue to play believing their luck might bring their earnings at the top, if they lose they will still continue hoping they can recover such loss. but both end of to one thing, they will lose everything because they didn't know when to stop, that is the mindset of most gamblers

    • Do I need to continue what if I lose totally?
For this reason, you should set some limits for winning and losses then your mind will not think this way
this is the best way to benefit from gambling. we must have the limits of every gambling we do. and that's what keeps us safe

    • If I don't stop the casino might get back what I've profit so far!
Of course, if you don't stop gambling on right time then finally you will lose back all your winnings including your money back to the casino and that is called that gambling.
because in some existing reviews. "the longer we sit in the casino, we will experience a big defeat"

    • Does it change anything if I win a lot or Do I need to quit before I get addicted to gambling?

The addition will not happen in a day or two but if you start gambling every day then you will slowly addict to those games.
and I think there's nothing wrong with being a gambling addict. as long as it can be profitable  Wink

It's your decision if you want to stop or keep going if you think you've made enough money or profit out of your deposit then cashing out would be the best way. When I want to keep on playing after making a nice amount of profit what I would do is cashout most of my balance 80%-90% and continue playing with the leftover amount. There's a chance that you could lose your profit or win more if you keep on going and yes it's better to quit while you're ahead.

I may had on mind similar questions, but 10-15 years ago.
From many years I'm a mindset of professional gambler and I'm following very very strict bankroll management.

Also, I'm avoiding casino games expect the rare occasions for recreation and with very limited amounts.
