Is this mining with the phone thing a fine dream or is there examples about it? I don't think any project can provide significant profit by the mining via mobile phone.

The account that posted this topic has only one message. This account was created today, so I wouldn't trust advice that looks like viral advertising.
It is obviously clear that he is here for the purpose of advertisements and since he has not any other aim I think those that wish to mine the pi through smartphone should do more research on this as I have tried to mind coins like graft, bundi on phone before but it is not profitable and I end up allowed my phone to be on 24/7 which is a bit harmful to the phone.
Does it absolutely drain your battery and phone over time?
The infect of mining using your phone is too high. I have tried that before and my phone almost blow up! The battery got drain easily and you have to keep connecting the phone to light. The profit too doesn't worth what you will lose.

While you can mine cryptocurrency on your phone, there are still limits to what your phone is capable of getting you. If you were hoping to get tons of Bitcoins from your phone, you're out of luck. You won't get much at all.

Here we go again.
The OMG-you-can-mine-on-a-phone threads.

They're all the same, ad-filled scam apps that pretend to pay ou out in crypto but just use your data and flod you with ads for free.

But hey, keep "mining" and one day you'll be able to buy an iPhone XS with a gazillion coins.
And getting those gazillion coins using up your  HTC Dream ( The first commercially available smartphone running Android)  Grin

People never ever learn that mining on a smartphone is a just a complete waste of time.

Those links are clearly referral ones which is really prohibited but anyway i did already report this one.

Roadmap / Deployment plan

Phase 1 - Design, Distribution, Trust Graph Bootstrap.

The Pi server is operating as a faucet emulating the behavior of the decentralized system as it will function once its live. During this phase improvements in the user experience and behavior are possible and relatively easy to make compared to the stable phase of the main net. All minting of coins to users will be migrated to the live net once it launches. In other words, the livenet will pre-mint in its genesis block all account holder balances generated during Phase 1, and continue operating just like the current system but fully decentralized. Pi is not listed on exchanges during this phase and it is impossible to “buy” Pi with any other currency.

Phase 2 - Testnet

Before we launch the main net, the Node software will be deployed on a test net. The test net will use the same exact trust graph as the main net but on a testing Pi coin. Pi core team will host several nodes on the test net, but will encourage more Pioneers to start their own nodes on the testnet. In fact, in order for any node to join the main net, they are advised to begin on the testnet. The test net will be run in parallel to the Pi emulator in phase one, and periodically, e.g. daily, the results from both systems will be compared to catch the gaps and misses of the test net, which will allow Pi developers to propose and implement fixes. After a thorough concurrent run of both systems, testnet will reach a state where its results consistently match the emulator’s. At that time when the community feels its ready, Pi will migrate to the next phase.

Phase 3 - Mainnet

When the community feels the software is ready for production, and it has been thoroughly tested on the testnet, the official mainnet of the Pi network will be launched. An important detail is that, in the transition into the mainnet, only accounts validated to belong to distinct real individuals will be honored. After this point, the faucet and Pi network emulator of Phase 1 will be shut down and the system will continue on its own forever. Future updates to the protocol will be contributed by the Pi developer community and Pi’s core team, and will be proposed by the committee. Their implementation and deployment will depend on nodes updating the mining software just like any other blockchains. No central authority will be controlling the currency and it will be fully decentralized. Balances of fake users or duplicate users will be discarded. This is the phase when Pi can be connected to exchanges and be exchanged for other currencies.

Taken from the white paper. Also, the next halvening is at 100k users. We got from 10k to 35k in just a few weeks.

The application looks every 24 hours, whether you are online, and after that payment occurs.
Recently, QTUM  announced something similar - I saw about it on BTT.
In any case, it seems to me that  permanent turned on for smartphone will not be useful, its resource may end faster

The simple fact of seeing so much publicity about it everywhere (especially in faucets) and the great efforts to obtain referrals made by this type of user, shows that it is nothing more than another multilevel scheme, or perhaps a ponzi. Not even the possibility of "mining" from the cell phone seems so convincing to use this as the main argument to promote this project, so I do not think it is worth even making an attempt to participate in it, compromising the security of our mobile device just for pennies.
I have talked with several people who know about this platform and they were saying if that's similar as cloud mining service. But i will try to verify that based on my analyzation. But it looks like OP is really wasting a lot of his time to promote this coin. I even see this promotion in another forum too.
We don't wanna waste our hundreds of dollars of a phone for a crap coin.  Cheesy

I don't know how successful this coin would be or if it will fall like a pack of cards like other coins that claim that they can be mined with Smart phone, Electroneum tired this with all the funds collected from their ICO but as not make head way in the market, what the developer forst need now is to get these coins listed a an exchange and see if it would gained value

Is this coin exclusively mineable on smartphone only? because if its not, then I guess you have to give the community at least a detailed comparison of its mining profitability over traditional mining equipments and convince them on its profitability since there are many threads here that often discourages mining on such kind of equipment. Imho.
These days there are Pi referral links everywhere... it would be probably similar to ETN "mobile mining", but I didn't look for more info about this.
Really? Is this coin popular? Personally I hear it first time.
Guys do such projects really work? Because I see a lot of similar and unique projects like for example sweatcoin which you can mine by walk/running, it counts steps. Also there was another coin which was only mineable on smartphone, had unique structure which would only let smartphone miners to mine with their CPU/GPU but can't see popularity of these projects, they are in stuck.

You can mine Pi on your smartphone through the Pi Network app. The coin is not yet indexed at any exchange, but that will change with phase 3 of the coin development. Basically free money. You can check the whitepaper if you are curious about the phases and what the coin aims to be: https://minepi.com/white-paper

Download from Google Play:

Download from App Store:

Before you start mining you need to specify who invited you, so feel free to use my code if I helped you. Code:
inibu

Thanks you.

Yea mining can be done using Smart phones, have friends already using it but how legit is this, anyways will go through the link
