Mineitor works fine when it works.  I've been using it for 8 months or so.  But, I've had many occasions where it could not connect or open the miner web interface.  Sometimes they get it corrected right away.  Sometimes not.  They will go days at a time with no response and no access to my farm.  It's just not reliable and you can't depend on it.

Thanks for sharing this also here.
We are very happy to see that Braiins users trust Mineitor. That made us think of adding more features to manage and monitor Braiins OS/Braiins OS+, including some features from BOS Toolbox like upgrade install and removal and more.

There is no paid license option for cgminer.
If you provide a firmware that uses cgminer code to make the miner in it, you must supply the source code for the miner on request.
That's the cgminer GPLv3 license.

I now think of a question:
Did you send an email to Bitmain or Whatsminer asking for the source code?

You provide on your site you list in this thread, a download of firmware that violates the cgminer license.
https://mineitor.com/downloads
This is, by definition, 'distributing' firmware.

It is a violation of the cgminer license to distribute this firmware and not supply source code on request.
I am the 2nd main developer of cgminer.
So I'm not at all sure why you think I wouldn't know how the license for cgminer works, nor why I wouldn't feel the need to point out you are violating the license.

You also advertise that people should use this firmware on your site, sounds like a bad idea to advertise to people to violate a license.

Kano,

Does this license have a paid license option that doesn't require you to reveal any of the sourcecode?  I find these types of "reveal all source code" at times to be excessive.  Especially if what is added might be competitive in nature.  Are you trying to support the open nature of open source or drive revenue?  If you are standing on principle, I get it, but to say "reveal all source code" for the sake of that in a license is a bit tough.  Especially in a commercial situation as I have run into that before in a different context and it was such broad overreach that we eliminated its use completely.

I respect the work you do although I am not a consumer of it, I am just a bit curious which angle is behind this.

...
False.

However, I will also point out that although many people are murdered every day, is that OK for you to do it also?

You have to make a profit somehow even if it is illegal?
Since no one else on the planet can make a profit legally?

Many people are murdered everyday, and of course it's not ok to do so. But you as the police (in this analogy), you allow a big corporation to get away with murder because MAYBE

1) they are too big to take down
2) majority of the people are working for them and murdering every single day so you can't fight them
3) you had a deal with them which you didn't disclose

Either way, you pick on someone weaker while letting them go scott free.

In another words : Hypocrite.

I see you in almost every thread like an old broken record. Take them all down with a lawsuit if it's illegal. If not move on and live and let live

Here what we can do about it.
We will add a notice in our downloads section to make sure that people know what they are downloading.
But If we remove the support, we will lose the competition, since all of our competitors have such an offer.

I already confirmed that you are right about license and nobody is telling that you don't know how license works.  (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57397315)

But you keep skipping other parts of my reply and telling me what you know. Here again, I will explain why it is complicated and even you accepted this situation.
All of the miner manufacturers are violating the license. So what is the point you keep telling people to not replace with another firmware which doing the same?
When you buy a Bitmain ASIC or Whatsminer. You already purchased a device with firmware that is violating the license.
You are providing service to customers who use miners (with original firmware) which is already the same.
It is true that you are not distributing any firmware but in the end, by allowing miners to use your pool somehow you are legitimizing the bigger players of this industry which also violate the license.

Testing going well.  The dev team needed to do some tweaking due to a very recent Pi 4 hardware image, but it got updated and worked 1st try after the image update!

Even added Goldshell HS5 support in like 2 days.

Like I said in a different thread, the support / dev team is very responsive and manages expectations well!

I am liking this over other options as my miners continue to come online.

As I mentioned in another topic, It is part of our partnership program.
It is not our own Firmware and we don't have our Firmware so we don't own the source code, all users are free to decide if they want to use Vnish Firmware or not.

Andyberg69 - any feedback on your testing?

How about test it yourself? Our operators are available 24 hours a day to help.

Also we have good news that I am so excited to share.

We are testing a new service to fully support Vnish firmware that custom built for Mineitor service (beta stage). which means anyone who is interested with Vnish firmware and want to use Mineitor as management and monitoring service can use both at the same time and get Mineitor Subscription for free.

Another good news is that for each device that uses Mineitor-Vnish firmware you get 2 free subscriptions. one for the device itself and one for any other device with any firmware.

So this means you are supplying a firmware that is illegal.

opened a support ticket, just need a little help setting it up.

Have you checked the documentation page? this shouldn't be hard to set up or else it really needs improvements in terms of the user-friendliness, monitoring tools are usually 1-2 steps of clicking "next" and then entering in IP range to scan for miners and all your miners that have active APIs and could connect will show up.

GOOD NEWS! I just want to inform you that "sleep mode management" and "frequency management" in the schedule section is successfully implemented as I promised. since it is in beta stages it is not available for the public for now. if you are interested to give it a try, we can enable it for your account or you can wait till it is available for the public.

Another great feature is a firmware upgrade for Whatsminer, Innosilicon, Bitmain, Avalon, Ebang brands. it is also in beta stages and will be available soon.

That would be a very handy feature, looking at their Demo version the scheduled tasks seem to be limited and don't include what you are asking for, however, with all the great work done with this tool I don't think they will have a hard time implementing such a simple feature, the problem for them would be the need to perform the configuration from the web browser since all these 17/19 series gears are pretty locked, other than that it's really a straight forward function.

With the scheduling function, is it possible to schedule Bitmain units to 'sleep' or change mode during configured time periods? For example, on Antminer S17 Pro, could you schedule to change to low power mode during certain parts of the day (when power tariff is higher) and change to high power mode during another period (when tariff is lower)?

With S19 95T, could you schedule to put the miner into 'sleep' mode during certain time periods?

Great to see that you are still working on the project and adding more mining gears to your support list, keep up the good work and try to focus on MicroBT gears because if Bitmain doesn't "wake up" soon, MicroBT might take over and dominate the mining gear industry for years to come.

If you need to translate to Arabic I might be able to help depending on the amount/type of words you need to translate, so no promises, but I will do by my best, also know that a few languages like Arabic, Urdu, Persian and Hebrew need RTL script direction, so that will need a bit more work than simply translating words from English.

Also I want to share our new release including new features with the community:

Windows support
Pool Locker ( Informs user when pool changes on device and revert back the changes and if device supports ssh it locks the file with a method to make changes impossible for viruses)!
Multi language admin panel ( Currently with the help of google translate ).
Added support for many new Firmwares and Brands.

Another thing is I just want to ask if any body can help with translation for other languages. We have about 800-1000 lines of strings! Smiley

Thanks for the referral philip.

We don’t mine as a company as we see it as a conflict of interest considering our target consumer. I do have personal units but those are offline now since our pool testing is done and my home power rate is too high to power on for even my own needs. Paying me to do so would also take away from any objectiveness of review as well. So not really good timing for me to take this on.

The product does look good and it’s always nice to have more competition out there to keep companies innovative and will always benefit the consumer.

Good luck! We’ll be watching how this progresses.

Does your software support bosminer? There is growing interest from the Braiins OS community for centralized monitoring tools; and apparently, the usual providers have been slow to adapt their software to add the different api fields added/changed from cgminer.

If your dev team needs help to implement bosminer support, tell them to visit the Braiins OS Telegram support group. The api is not formally documented, but you could inspect bosminer source code or ask if you have specific questions.

If you have an S9 with Braiins OS or Braiins OS+ installed, you might find interesting to inspect this url from your web browser:
http://your.min.er.ip/cgi-bin/luci/admin/miner/api_status

The most important thing of that json dump, is that it shows the api commands you can send to port 4028, so for example doing this on linux:

echo -n '{"command":"tunerstatus"}' | ncat 10.0.0.2 4028 | jq | grep '"PowerLimit"\|"HashchainIndex"\|"Status"'

Gives you:

Code:
      "PowerLimit": 1200,
          "HashchainIndex": 6,
          "Status": "Stable",
          "HashchainIndex": 7,
          "Status": "Tuner not running",

I like what I see, seems like an alternative to the great Awoesominer, of course with a better price rate ( sorry Patrick  Cry ) , now comes the bad news which is TRUST!

I am a little over paranoid with my miners' security and I believe that most other members here are, so to give full access to a random (with all due respect) software doesn't seem like the smartest thing I would do, and the issue is, in this case, you can't say "try and then judge" because the consequences are bad, I recently got to know that some viruses are permanent and even Sdcarding the control board won't fix it (I used to think otherwise but now I am convinced).

I am not accusing you of anything, but it's more of an internet culture where "everyone is guilty until proven innocent", so my advice is: if you found a known and a trusted member who is willing to take the risk - give them more than just 6 months, probably a life-time license because whoever takes that bet will need to set up a VLAN and sacrifice a few mining gears for the test.

With that being said, if everything turns out to be legit, you got my support. good luck

Dear favebook,
Thanks for your feedback, I understand your concerns about trusting a new platform, because of that we decided to offer one month of free trial so anybody can test our platform from the community.

Here I offer 6 months free subscription to anybody from the community that tests and uses our platform and write a review for it on bitcointalk.

And about notification feature, pools only inform you when there is a hash-rate drop or when one of the miners is dead after minutes. but in our platform you can customize the notification system, it means you can get notified when device temperature is not normal, or hashrate is lower than a specific number, or even fan rpm is lower than a specific value.
So it helps the Farm owners with many miners to detect problems faster, which is hard or impossible with pools.

The purpose of Mineitor is to give more control over farms in one dashboard and help the maintenance and monitoring with security in mind.

And thanks for the score ! Smiley

Interesting idea, not sure how much it brings to the table since a lot of pools bring notifications with their apps, but it seems that you have it all packed in one place (I only watched the video).

You got quite a nice music and voice for that video, but it really feels like I heard that combination somewhere before.

As your acc is new and you are under different pseudonim than your "tool" in addition to no activity in bitcointalk mining space as well as no merit, I am not sure how many people will trust you with this (I know I won't).

I'd give you 8/10 for your website and youtube vid, but I cannot make myself try anything else as of now.
