I was thinking as an avatar image for this forum to annoy everyone.

I was thinking a mining/burrowing lemming

LOL....can you use swf's for an avatar? I doubt it. Maybe as a .gif but then no sound would come through.

Good question. Initially I thought it could play on a lcd screen attached to a BFL unit Grin. But I could see it plugged in to a pool page for your worker status.

I know, it's nothing great, just random idea.

I think I'll add a yellow coin spinning up into the air on the hit.

Where will it be used.  If used somewhere indirectly (i.e web forum) the easiest method would simply to have multiple pre-generated animations (running at different speeds) and return the apropriate image.

I had an idea to sync an animation like this to your hash rate for each miner. Would anyone know how to do this? I know that AS can pull data from the internet if it's stored on a server. I don't know how to do this though. It would simply be a matter of scaling the animation speed to a preset hashrate (1 Mh/s = 1 fps, 1 Gh/s 30+ fps).  The sound is just added for effect.

Edit: credit goes to this file for the animation: Link
