From what I can gather DSTM is software for mining Equihash and is not Bitcoin related... so if I were you, I'd try the "Altcoin mining" subforum -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

There is a DSTM thread there that might be useful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.3140

What mining software are you using, can you post the logs (there'll be a tutorial online as to where to find these).

Starting from the simplest:
1. Try rebooting your computer if you haven't already.
2. Try resetting your connections with the gpu if it is external from the computer/easy to access.
3. Search start for "Device Manager" and go to display adapters, find your nvidia driver in the list, right click and click "Uninstall" then, ensuring the box to delete the driver is unchecked, click to confirm the uninstallation (the driver will come back when you restart your computer, it works as a reset).

I'm not sure a virus will do too much to effect anything, do you do any shady searches on your computer (if not then you probably don't have a virus).

Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: DSTM, v0.6
Operating System: Win10, x64
System Hardware Specs: Nvidia Geforce 1080
Description of Problem: Miner quit functioning; now I can't get it started again. It could have a virus; I was told I couldn't use the firewall or antivirus bc it would interfere with the miner. I remember that DSTM started functioning very quickly; I didn't have to struggle with it. I might add that I have MSI Afterburner which I use with the DSTM.
Any Related Addresses: Not applicable.
Any Related Transaction IDs: Not applicable.
Screenshot of the problem: None available. I couldn't figure out how to get the screenshot into this post. It consisted of a picture of the Notepad data with my line of personal info in it. As I recall, the miner started up automatically when I had this completed correctly. I have checked with my Bittrex account; it shows some production by the miner.
Log Files from the Bitcoin Client I don't know where to find these.
