Model Antminer L7 (9.5Gh) from Bitmain mining Scrypt algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 9.5Gh/s for a power consumption of 3425W.
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-l7-9-5gh
Even at the cost of electricity of 5 cents, the payback of this ASIC is more than 2 years. Although in some stores this ASIC costs $ 18,000, which not every miner can buy, but a 6-month warranty.

In theory yes but we don't know how the price of the crypto coins, namely Litecoin and Doge which this miner is so good at mining will be after 2 years, you may not get the ROI as more efficient ASICS can come out in the market as you say but you can also make 2-5x your investment or even more than 5x in these very 2 years because of price increase of the cryptos especially Doge which can go further up and make the people who use L7 really happy when such thing happen.

I would not invest money of my own pocket in L7 but if I have some sitting around from mining activities for me this is the best miner to buy and mine for the future.
I don't understand how you plan to invest.
Why should I buy an ASIC now for $18,000 to earn $20-$22 a day?
The price of electricity is rising, the price of cryptocurrency is falling.
If Litecoin and Doge owners are happy in 2 years, then I can spend $9,000 on Litecoin and $9,000 on Doge now, just buy these over 3-5 months to average the price.

I logic like this because in 2018 I mined when everybody else was at a loss and I continued to mine via Nicehash then until late 2019 which I made a considerable amount in Bitcoin that I sold on 2021 for a huge profit.

If I had bought the coins I would have not resisted the up and downs that started in the late 2020 and maybe I would have sold for a much lower profit, that is why I always am pro mining even at a loss because during some years that may translate as the best investment of your life and is easier to resist the selling.
I bought a litecoin for $55 and will buy more because I don't want to invest in ASICs. I am slowly starting to prepare for a new bull market. If the price of litecoin drops to $30 or less, I will buy more of these coins.
An important factor is the limited warranty of ASICs, and in the event of a breakdown, I will receive a big loss, and for these ASICs there is still no quality service in my country.
Yep makes sence buying L7 for 16-18k you can buy bunch of doge and ltc for that money

Yeah it's a long time but anything can happen, difficulty can drop with L3s going offline or coin prices start going back up.  Either way 2 years is a decently long time.  I can't see a more powerful scrypt miner coming out anytime soon so it's likely if you start now you will still roi.
In a year, more modern and energy-efficient ASICs may appear. In 2 years, the ASIC may break down, and the guarantee from the seller is only 6 months, although the warranty periods may be longer in other countries. With such payback periods, it is more profitable to buy cryptocurrencies and not ASICs.

My L7 does 3400 watts or 3.4 x 24 = 82 kwatts a day

so
cents.. daily cost

02 ......... 1.64
03 ......... 2.46
04. ........ 3.28
05.   ...... 4.10
06.......... 4.92
07 ......... 5.74
08 ......... 6.56
09 ......... 7.38
10 ......... 8.20
11 ......... 9.02
12 ......... 9.84
13 ....... 10.66

it mines about  .15 ltc    =   7.90
it mines about 300 doge = 18.60

total is 26.50

then minus your power cost

so you cold say it does  15.84 to  24.86 daily with ltc/doge merge pretty accurate

or maybe 5781 to 9073 yearly  subject to larger swings up or down

we paid about 48k for 3 of them they have mined since Jan of 2022

and since prices were higher in Jan-May we earned close to 36k back so far.

Phil is that 36k total or net after power costs.  If net that's not too bad almost roi time.  Thank goodness for the doge run up last year it saved scrypt mining otherwise all these scrypt asics would just be bricks lime the rest of the older asics.  Be nice for a life in litecoin price to prop it up even more.

that is after power.

if you look back at jan-april of 2022 doge was pricey and we were clearing a lot more than we do now.

as compared to 6-7 cents now it was

16-17 cents for jan
13-15 cents for feb
11-13 cents for mar
11-13 cents for April

and diff was a bit smaller so rather than  17 or 18 a day for the doge we were doing 35-45 a day.

ltc was 150 to 100 from Jan to May so we did  17 to 18  for the ltc

so pre power 1 machine was at 18+42 = 60 - 4 = 56 a day net for 120 days or so

6720 a machine net  or about 20k earned net for the 3 machines by May 1

we dropped off to 16k net for May 1 to Oct 8 160 days or so.

I may be a bit too high with numbers maybe net is 19+14 = 33k Jan to Oct 8 not 36k

OP must the miner be Baikal? You need to find a more profitable miner and they are costly, since these miners aren't BTC miner the returns on investment is not so great, I believe Antiminer L7 is very good for Dogecoin + LTC mining, even Digibyte coin too you will make good 28$ profits per day after covering electricity expenses.

$28 profit a day on digibyte?  I think on average L7s after electric are coming in at around $14 a day profit or around $5000 a year.  At their current resale price ypu won't break even for a long time at these prices.  That's without mergemining doge or some other auxpow coin I believe so maybe there is some more money to be had.
No....that result is dual merged mining Dogecoin + Digibyte, I don't think you can make that much mining only Digibyte directly or other Scrypt-based algorithm coins. I choose this miner because its the closest to cheap with its high performance, there might be others that are less costly.

Model Zig M1
Model Zig M1 from Dayun mining 5 algorithms (Groestl, Myriad-Groestl, Lbry, Pascal, Lyra2REv2) with a maximum hashrate of 4.3Gh/s for a power consumption of 784W.
Release   November 2018

iBeLink
BM-K1 Max
Model BM-K1 Max from iBeLink mining Kadena algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 32Th/s for a power consumption of 3200W.
Release   June 2022
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/ibelink/bm-k1-max

BM-K1 Max is the only modern ASIC from this list, but spending 3.2 kilowatts per hour on 5-6 dollars of profit per day is not a good solution.
