I would definitely suggest altcoins as your first step into mining, probably GPU coins if you have cheap enough electricity or HDD coins if you don't. Even with free electricity, there are better beginner choices than Bitcoin. I personally started mining Perk with a cheap smartphone I had lying around, although sadly that coin has "died" last year.
I know many said that already i will say it again to better sink to your mind.
Don't start Bitcoin adventure by mining. Its for professionals, its for advanced users, for people who know what they are doing.
Its not profitable for you 100% im sure of it, just start by buing some, it will get u BTC a lot cheaper than mining.

It's better to buy than to mine today. If you have the extra hardware and electricity laying around already being used, then go ahead and set up a miner. But it's not worth it otherwise.

It seems you are new to bitcoin, and wanted to go with mining immediately. I suggest learning about bitcoin and a bit of it's background first before getting into mining. Invest like a weekend for studying what bitcoin and cryptocurrency is. Alot of free information on the internet, here's a good guide compilation:

There's a lot of room for the new folks here, but you do need to show some understanding and respect for the community that has been here for years. Quite possibly any question you have has been answered here. And that's not to say that they aren't great questions, only that the answers exist and you just need to take a few minutes or a few days to look for them.
Asking a general question with no indication that you've taken your own time and effort to seek an answer doesn't demonstrate much respect for those experts whose guidance you seek.
Read a bit, then ask more specific questions and I promise you that you'll get good answers and opinion in return.

Bitcoin mining is not as easy as it sounds. Bitcoin mining has a lot difficulty now to mine them. Firstly in 2009 it was very easy to mine bitcoins and within some hours of mining we would get much coins. But now its not possible to make huge profit with bitcoins due to increasing Electricity cost. If you use CPU/GPU to mine bitcoins, the all you will have is a lot of electric bill.
If you really want to make profit via mining, then use a good ASIC miners with good power supply. They will sutely give you a good profit.

First of all you should find your own budget for mining and ensure about that, your budget will not be enough for mining, you have to learn about hardware and software. This is very hard work. I wish you success

Here you will get every possible help but still in the case of mining not much , because not everyone here are doing mining because it is not profitable in the most of places , the main reason is that the cost of the electricity in the current time .You will pay more money for the electricuty then what you will get from the mining .
If you are from China then may be a profitable thing .
But here I would like to suggest to mine altcoins .
I myself making mining of dotecoin at cryptopia exchange .
To get started with mining , go at the GitHub and find the cpu miner then download that file and create the account for shaft mining in cryptopia and then place the user name and password in the downloaded file .
( steps are mentioned in the GitHub software , visit with pc system )
And then there are altcoins that are efficient enough that the cost of electricity doesn't even enter the picture. Those tend to be HDD coins like Burstcoin and Storj (Sia is yet another HDD coin but it also involves GPU usage) and smartphone coins like (defunct) Perk. There's still no free lunch since the hardware needed to mine with costs something.

simple tip, don't go into mining if you don't have free electricity unless you want to lose some money buying mining rigs and you won't be able to reach ROI because of the difficulty rising very fast
Actually you don't need free electricity instead what you need is a cheap electricity in your country. Also when you purchase a mining rig, there might be no supply in your country hence you need to order it to other country. If you are well off then you don't need to worry about the money that you will use to buy these but with expensive electricity then it would surely eat up what you earn.
