I prefer mining eth, I have 2 years of ETH mining, ETH mining is very profitable.

I wish I was mining ETH for 2 years.

I actually got into mining in 2014 and built 2 mining rigs. Mined a bunch of shitcoins and sold for BTC until mid 2015, then BTC price dropped to $200 so I stopped as it was no longer profitable. Now I regret stopping as thats about the time that ETH came out and I missed the train..

You need to make as much as possible in a month. If you have 1 rig you'll get 3 ETH payments in a month. But 45ETC at the same time. So it's more possible to exchange ETC rather than ETH because you get more coins in quantity... It's up to you to make it more valuable if you know how to play on altcoins...

Good point, ETC is another option and the price correlates somewhat with ETH. But then its pretty much the same thing as mining EXP or UBQ selling for BTC and buying ETH during dips. ETC is probably a bit more stable than EXP or UBQ..

Yes I also like mining ETH, Mining ETH is not too heavy for a machine than BITCOIN, Mining Bitcoin really torturing bitcoin mining machine makes excessive heat engine.

if you 3 option iam choose Etherum (ETH)
popular coin, high price, high volume transaction, high community user, same with bitcoin sending have to miner
in etherum sending fee is high volume, because ETH is open service etherum token smartcontract, so all coin use etherum token every send sending fee use ETH

1. ETH - The difficulty is so high. but if you're looking the latest chart of ethereum and it will worth for you to make your mited coin to be long-term investment for you. The community is always growth. Just take few days for the price of ethereum increase a lot. That has provided you the true potential in the future.

2. UBQ - This will worth for you. I will be expecting the price of UBQ will increae in the future. Try to take a look on its project.
The crypto trend is bullish.

Why not all 3?

Point your cannons at Eth for a day or two to get profits.  Point them at EXP for a day to keep or dump, then do the same for UBQ.

2 way I am seeing this:

1) The safe way is mining ETH as profitability is here since 1 year and a half approx. Also there is good chance keeping it and get a good increase in price in a year or 2.

2) Mining UBQ and keeping it for future and praying for increase.

Mine what your gut feeling is telling you, nothing is for sure in crypto.

Just curious on what people's opinions are on mining in 2017 (considering you already the hardware & mining rig setup)

- All 3 are about equally profitable +/- (at the moment)
- ETH has high difficulty - so its hard to accumulate many coins
- EXP seems more established, but has 90% pre-mine held by devs which seems shady
- UBQ is newer, no pre-mine, and mining gets most coins, easier to accumulate more coins

If you had to choose to mine one or the other with prospects of holding long term, which one would you choose and why?

...or would you not hold either of them, and just sell for BTC?
