I also wanted to ask this exact question, but didn't know how to ask it cause it's kinda too wide, first of the best way to mine, how, what you need.. stuff like that. I'm glad I stumbled upon this post now, I've gained a lot on mining. I'm definitely going to try mine now cause previously I wasn't so sure on the outcome of it

The best way to get materials or books that will help you on a given topic is the use of search engines.

This has a good number of materials and books to explore from, and even with the internet solution, there is a lot to learn from it.
what you need to do is have a thorough search and broad knowledge of what mining is all about, and the best mining procedure will be dished out to you.

„Mastering Bitcoin“ is another book which looks very interesting:

What are the odds that he will find any information related to keeping a miner? absolutely ZERO.

As kano said, these information of specific gear you will find in the forum, sorted by each type of gear. The book above is more about how the principals of minig work, to get a better understanding of what the gear is doing related to the bitcoin network.

I'd be very surprised if I saw a book on how to "keep a mobile phone" despite the fact that the mobile phone industry is many decades old, let alone ASIC miners that are less than a decade old and become obsolete in no time.

OP, keeping a miner is rather simple.

1- Ensure you have perfect electricity set up
2- A stable internet connection
3- Good clean airflow
4- Clean the miners once a while
5- Take basic security measures by using strong passwords and resetting all used miners you buy.

That's pretty much all you have to do to take care of your mining gear, it's common sense and almost everyone can do it, keeping a miner is relatively easy, making a profit from the miner is the challenging part.

There is an old ebook that I found mining bitcoin you can try to read it but the ebook is too old but you will learn how Bitcoin mining starts with CPU, GPU to FPGA ASIC.

Check this link below
- http://euro.ecom.cmu.edu/resources/elibrary/epay/IntroductiontoBitcoinMiningSterry.pdf

If you are planning to mine with ASIC miner then I suggest you read this "First time/Small miner reference for getting started."

For maintaining your miner then check this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0 most of the maintaining guide is already posted on sticky/pin thread.

So I'm guessing you're looking for advice to maintain a miner? Without telling us which brand and model you're taking care of, you're not going to find much instructions because each miner has wildly different power requirements, operating temperatures, and in the case of different brands, different management consoles too.

Even if you do know the model you're looking for help with, I doubt you'll find any books on it. I haven't seen people writing entire books on a single (or family of) models, plus you need 100% accurate information if you are doing something like servicing or repairing the miner so in most cases, the model's user guide and technical specs manuals will be as precise as you can find.

Have you tried googling an ebook, or read a tutorial on this board? Your question is way too broad, and I'm pretty sure a lot of authors already write a book about mining. You can also use Youtube to find some tutorials so you get a general understanding of how mining works before you can ask more meaningful questions that can help you learn further.
