The Alcheminer-MAT Game in greater detail:
 MAT agreed with alcheminer to a joint production venture with the figure something around 2M $ for the development. It was a shared deal 50% - 50%. But MAT does not have any rights in the IP (asic chip design). For the 2M $ there are included 50K Asic Chips with own MAT Logo - that's why the alcheminer chip and MAT chip are identical. The chip is the same as the Alcheminer Chip! With 50K Chips you can make 195 miners, each with 256 asics inside, but of course still there are additional costs for the whole miner manufacturing, case, boards, software, controller board... of about over 800$ each.

But now the latest news:
 MAT doesn't even have the 2M$, so MAT received around the end of September only 10K chips. Nothing more - because all money from preorders was invested only in the development of the asics, not in the miners itself.

Now after the GAW miner deal, MAT had some money to pay for the last 40K asics and to the manufacturer of the miners. Thats why MAT still doesn't have miners... because MAT shipped all miners to GAW (Marshall Long as commission for the GAW deal), another cloudmining company, and 3 or 4 customers.

 To ship or make refunds for all customers MAT needs to raise more than 1,3M$. But the margins of selling the miners now are too low to make a profit of 1,3M$.

These scammers will continue to persist as long as there is dumb money out there to grab. Read the freaking forums people!!! When we all call a group scammy then think twice about putting money with them.

No video because it does not exist.  It's really not hard for a legitimate company to prove they exist and have working equipment.  Anyone who spends the time and money on a website could easily post a simple video if they actually had a product.  They are not doing it because they can't fake it easily.

You start a thread to announce an upcoming miner without a working prototype (that's just dumb). Now that you have a prototype you don't want to show it to anyone and say it's because of the noise.
How can you expect anybody to buy from you and what is the purpose of this thread? Right now you're doing a good job discrediting your own company.

I didnt notice it the first time I watched the vid, but when they pan out to show the front you can see that there's no activity shown on the tx/rx light of the ethernet jack.  Interesting, no?

You're asking the wrong questions.  The SP30 is not shipping yet - the first batch should go out starting this month; however, you don't have a prayer of getting one.  The earliest you can get the SP30 is for the September batch at $5095.  I don't know anything about the Neptunes so I won't comment on them.

If you want to calculate potential earnings, there are a number of calculators out there to help you.  However, to use these calculators you need to understand a bit about mining and what is involved.  For example, you'll need to understand the concept of difficulty and how it will affect earnings.

Take some time to read through the forums and learn a bit before jumping into blindly purchasing any hardware.

It's obvious.  They reply to only select posts where people are blatantly accusing them.  However, instead of anything productive, they conduct themselves in a totally unprofessional manner.  For example, "Make you shitstorm or not!  we dont care about you".  This is not how any company representative should act from a respectful company.

They completely ignore posts from people like bclcjunkie that ask about details of their product.  They give no details at all.  Instead they post the same two things in here and other threads: a picture of two people shaking hands, and a video that's supposed to be a "demo" but doesn't demonstrate anything functional or provide any details.  This is somehow supposed to convince us?

If a company wants customers, as almost all companies do, they would do their best to give their customers as much proof as they can, or as many convincing details as possible to gain credibility.  As it stands now, with the way they have been acting, is that they are trying to avoid the truth that they don't have any functioning demos or prototypes.  Other companies that do pre-orders post progress of development, pictures of parts, or photos of the lab where things happen.  They have not supplied anything as such which makes you question if they even are working on anything, or simply try to get as many pre-orders as they can and run thanks to very loose T&Cs.

I have to agree with Roadstress....if you got something show it off...what's so hard about that? Showing a miner with spinning fans but nothing more (performance metrics and such) will get you the accusations...

It is on you to prove you are legit. Alot of people have been burned by bad players in this market. Its on the vendor to prove themselves to the people who will be putting up their money....they are taking the risk here.

So show a working hashing miner against elgius (live video) while its mining....not hard to do. Fire it up, mine and as its mining show its stats on elgius. This saves you from having to send a miner to trusted community people (which really would help you if you did that).

The pre-order market is going away. You would have been better served going with onhand hardware instead of this pre-order mess. This is why people are calling you a scam...until you can prove otherwise, its going to be a hard fight for you. Your choice of course. You insult anyone who tells you otherwise. That only makes you look worse to anyone looking to be a potential customer. Might want to learn from all the other ones that have succeeded on here if you are the real deal. Do what they did to succeed. That means inhand hardware AND proper marketing.

The lessons here for all manufacturers of miners is:
- realise that BFL has fucked all trust in manufacturers, even moreso if your first offer is preordering
- do not offer preorders unless you have firmly established yourself as a manufacturer of trust. Only a few have reached that height, realise you are not one of those.
- use real images of your miners on your website, not computer generated renders
- use a real image of your data center on your website, not computer generated renders
- post a video or series of videos to youtube of the miner working, and a screen of it hashing, and also a link to Eligius so people can see it hashing live
- only start selling once you have developed batch 1, developed the shipping and customer service side of your business, and the support side
- expect there to be a lot of complaints about your batch 1, its still a trial machine, and you will need a lot of replacement parts, and a team ready to react to major design flaws that not only need to be fixed in batch 2 but also addressed in batch 1 somehow.
- send out several of the batch 1 miners to independent assessors to write reviews on, for example dogie on these forums, and there are others
- only have one method of taking orders, via your website
- use bitpay
- only have one method of taking support requests, via your website
- realise that the world runs on different time zones than yours, so your support service needs to be running 24/7
- try to fix your miner cost to bitcoin
- try to include shipping in the fixed bitcoin cost
- let your product speak for itself

Once that is all in place you are ready to go live with your batch 1. Open an announcement on Bitcointalk, and direct all support request back to your website. If you have followed these simple rules, then anyone nutting out at you on your thread are merely trolling you and can be ignored.

We have decided to update all our Asic Scrypt Miners with the new performances for the same price!
•Excalibur 4 ASIC SCRYPT miner with a minimum of 125 MH/s (replacing the 100 MH)
•Excalibur 5 ASIC SCRYPT miner with a minimum of 250 MH/s (replacing the 200 MH)

All customers, which bought the Excalibur 2 (100 MH), will get an upgrade to Excalibur 4 (125 MH) at no additional costs.

A lot of newbie action in this thread doesnt boost confidence in a new company with 200 mh/s scrypt asics on offer

The Netherlands based company Mining Asics Technologies B.V. (MAT) who announced in February it would be one of the first companies to bring several new Bitcoin Asic miners and Scrypt ASIC miners for Dogecoin, Auroracoin, Feathercoin, Litecoin and other scrypt cryptocurrencies  into the market, today announced it would begin taking pre-orders for their miners with only 35% deposit payment.

Our miners are designed to work on and come preinstalled with Linux and we will only be providing support for Linux platforms running CGminer. Some companies in the Bitcoin Asic mining business realm struggled with credibility issues in 2013 bringing cutting-edge equipment to market on time and on price.

This is the reason why Mining Asics Technologies B.V. (MAT) will be accepting only 35% deposits on all orders for their Asic Bitcoin miners and Asic Scrypt miners, with the remaining 65% required 3 months before shipping.

The network’s hashing power for coins like Litecoin, Feathercoin, Dogecoin, Auroracoin and other Scrypt cryptocurrencies would remain GPU-based mining for the first half of 2014, and would not see any significant rises during that time. The difficulty in example 6 months of course will increase, but all that difficulty is not majority based on ASIC hardware like in the Bitcoin network. The whole Litecoin or other Scrypt cryptocurrencies difficulty in 6 months time will be made up only of GPU’s. When we ship our FPGA Scrypt miners or ASIC Scrypt miners it will be more advantageous than any GPU rig, it will be more cost efficient, and much more power efficient.
