I'm looking for insurance coverage in Canada for my Bitcoin mining business.
What state are you in? I'll check on some options tomorrow. (I'm an insurance agent)
Can anyone recommend a good US based company that will work with Bitcoin mining companies?
I'm going to move my hardware to a co-location facility soon, and just want basic small business liability and property insurance coverage on the hardware.
I thought this would be relatively easy, but many insurance companies won't write policies for any bitcoin related businesses. One major insurance company even said I would also have to obtain $5000 per year cyber liability coverage, which seems absurd to cover a small bitcoin mining operation.
This is very frustrating. Also, many insurance agents have no clue what I am talking about when I describe my business, which makes things even more difficult. Others just hear "Bitcoin" and think "controversial".
