I've seen algos that use cards more efficiently, or are more stable as power drain, but never heard of an algo to destroy a GPU, as long as you maintain it at good a temperature and decent OC settings
The x11 and X13 algo will slowly destroy your gpu, maybe it will run and mine the certain coins, but it will decrease the life of your cards.
Please explain how mining a specific algo can possibly decrease the life of GPU cards so long as you're careful about maintaining safe temps. This makes zero sense to me!

I'm afraid mining deeponion with gpu card is a really bad idea.
The x13 algo is very good for asics and they are mining with a high speed.
So if you want to have some onions, your best way would be just mine some other coins, sell them for btc and then buy some onions for those btc.

Maybe, but the program gives me a "?" instead of character.

guess this is the issue. You have some unsupported character there. Shouldn't it be '-u' ?
