With the price going aroung 300$ many miners are no longer profitable. Even some of the ones sitting in server cooling cabinets in data centres are barely profitable. If the price down trend continues after this difficulty increase we're certainly going to have the first difficulty
decrease in almost two years. Already +2.67% would be the smallest increase in those ~two years and we only have 4 days to the next change at the time of posting this. Home miners are going to be the first pulling out, cloud mining shares are going to be worthless (at least for a while). Maybe by the time we get out of this price down trend they'd be getting negative ROI's already because of new miners starting to enter the arms race again.
