The guy definately isn't or can't drive around if he has rigs mining in the back.

The Tesla batteries are like 50 kwh or so. So if he has 2kw worth of gear, its enough electricity to mine for 2 days. This isn't the issue. Mining rigs, especially GPU are very unstable even when they are stationary, if he is driving around, going into bumps and taking turns, there is no way a GPU or 2 wouldn't crash right away.

Another issue is the heat. What is he going to do, leave the air conditioner turned on? He'd mine like 12 hours instead of 48hours if he had to leave the AC turned on. He needs to leave the trunk open, park it somewhere safe so the car or GPUs don't get stolen such as a private residence.

Only 16 MHASH With the Team Black Miner. But mining while charging is free money as long as your company is paying for it..

In my country there are free chargers for cars (usually "slow" charging, but could be enough to both mine and charge during the day). In my case I can also charge at work for 2€. 2€ for a charge, so with a 100kWh Tesla S/X, that's up to 100kWh for 2€, or 2 cents/kWh, a good price indeed. However the car is worth 100000€ !

The other issue is all the time lost when you can't mine, a bit like mining with solar panels, you don't mine during the night, you mine less in winter, etc. Sure the electricity is cheaper but mining should pay for electricity + a benefit, so not mining is always a loss.

I haven't read the full article, but it still makes no sense. The owner of the car still has to recharge the car, which will cost him more money, given that the miners or GPUs will consume the car battery power. So what is the difference between this and just mining directly from the power grid using GPUs?

I don't own an electric car so I am just assuming this. However I think that he probably goes to some charging stations and gets to charge it for free. There are malls where you can shop and if there is a free spot you can charge your tesla. Obviously this must be the case because why else would he do this.

If he was paying electric then he would get power loss into charging the tesla first and then mining with his GPUs. Also this isn't the first time this was done. Somebody did this at the peak of the 2018 top. There was a photo of the trunk open full of GPUs.

Let’s say he might save electricity but I'm more concern about the vibration and movement the car that might wreck the chips inside the mining rig installed on the car compartment. If a person owns already a tesla car, Why he still needs to mine or atleast use his luxurious for this activity while he can easily setup a mining farm on a safe place or use solar panels instead to save energy.

LOL. I am pretty sure he is not actually driving the car while he is mining. The way we got these flimsy risers, poorly constructed open air rig cases, wires everywhere, it would probably crash (the mining not car) as soon as he hit his first pot hole. My guess is he only mines when he is at home and its parked. Then in the morning he shuts it down and drives to work or wherever he charges it for free and repeats it the following day.

Why he still needs to mine if he owns a Tesla? Owning a Tesla doesn't mean you are a millionaire anymore these days. Tesla's are what $40K or so. In my area most vehicles are in that price range pretty much, and nobody is a millionaire driving these types of cars. They got 7-8 year car loans and that's how they can afford a car this expensive.
If the user is getting free electricity to charge the car that may earn him profits no matter how little it is but that in the long run will not be encouraging as the car mar develop some computer and car components since the article stated the car software was hacked into to enable the mining.

What is the power bank of Tesla car? I don't think you can enjoy mining using this tesla unless you plan to use just one GPU that draws 50-60watts of power, I mine using solar panels and batteries as back up my 1500watt mining rig can't even keep up without the help of grid power
The turnover of one month of mining from the Tesla car according to the article is $800 which to me is a low income as compared to the cost of running the mining in an electric car which requires electricity to get charged it's not worth it as it affects the battery compartment of the car in the long run.

In my country, a Tesla car costs several times more than in the USA.
If there is an opportunity to charge the battery for free, then it is possible to earn several hundred dollars, but is it advisable to do this in America, earning a small profit?
And a car breakdown will kill all earned profit.

As cryptocurrency adoption and growth continue on a full scales user are beginning to try out ways to cut costs to reduce the burden of it on the entire ecosystem, cryptocurrency mining is one of the high tasking and energy consuming activities in the cryptocurrency industry,  cryptocurrency mining consumes high electricity as the computers CPU are expected to run at all time and this has been a hard aspect of the mining most especially in countries where the cost of electricity is very high.
Reading some articles today I discovered were a Tesla 2018 model electric car is used to mine ethereum and some other altcoins and the owner simply explain how he reconfigured the build computer on the car for mining and the battery of the car for powering and this keep the mining process running and the owner stated that he mined around $800 worth of ethereum within a month. This can be viewed as an encouraging development so I decide to share it on the forum to know if any one with a Tesla electric car here is willing to try out some new features of your car that even the manufacturer is not aware of, technology is really shaping the way we do things making it easier.
