well i cant really find devices but device manger shows up and also i couldn't figure out how to make the GUI work without wine.

You can also try VirtualBox if Wine has trouble with USB devices, still not guaranteed to work.
However, I'm pretty sure you'd be better off learning CGminers's CLI interface.

i got wine to work and its running the GUI but it just sits at preparing i think because i don't know exactly where the miner is plugged into and or the com port i need to change the .ini file too

In devices it should be I think.   It say's the com port pretty clear.  Or cgminer.exe --ndevs tell's it aswell if using cgminer.

Only thing I'm not sure of is going to windows using wine.  It could cause problems depending in interaction with usb.  It's not really meant to go through wine.    It's normally Linux or window's.

It's been a while since I have played with mine it's in project pile.  I had to look it up as it's been a bit.  It looks like they were using BFGMiner with all the gui stuff for windows.  I thought so but I wanted to look it up for sure - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/avalon-nano-stick-mining-fun-1022764 (This was before RPI really took over so I was still running windows on my lotto machine back then).

You might switch from cgminer to BFGMiner and see how it goes.  With them picking it to go with gui ehash released with the nano might at least be worth a try.

i tired these guides plus some others
#1 https://pfigue.github.io/blog/2013/03/01/installing-cgminer-on-ubuntu/
#2 http://www.btcpedia.com/mine-litecoins-with-cgminer-in-linux/
#3 https://ghash.io/gh-instructions-pdf.pdf

and i also wish i had a raspberry pi motherboard just don't have the money for ti and I'm trying to do this with 4.0-4.9.2 (the newest one) preferably and I'm having an issue running it
i also saw this program from BTC core called EasyMiner witch was supposed to provide a GUI for Linux/Windows/Mac but couldn't find it
and as for ROSA its just Linux mint beta you can probably use the two below this level (#11 and #12) also since mint is based of Ubuntu there very similar we get updates of Ubuntu not long after them so i can use those guides just like Ubuntu

okay i looked around and tried some guides but got no where this is why i need a brand new guide and specifically asked on here (don't mean to sound mad) but it would be very helpful  Smiley

Can you go into more detail?  What guide are you using please link to it.   What error are you getting?  We just need to know more.

You are going to have to try a few quite likely as I doubt anyone made a guide for Rosa.  If you used standard debain, or a RPI it would be pretty simple.   But its that variation of linux that most including I have not tried.

Search installing CGminer on linux there are many different sources that tell how to do this. That will be the main thing.  But there are many guides on this.  Most will be like me and not delt with ROSA if the standard guides are not working might check in a local board as ROSA is geared tword Russia.

After doing that search Avalon Nano.  There is commands out there aswell.   They made a windows GUI.  But on linux it's more to install then pushing buttons.
