so i need to spend a load of money to make money with bitcoins Sad dnt see the point in mining it now

You could pay £2 for a USB miner (if you can find one for that price), and potentially make £1 or £2 profit. I don't think £2 is a lot of money.

No one in his right mind will sell now USB block errupter for £2

Wait 2 months and you will find this offer  Wink

Your right, but keep your eyes on this possibility. Difficulty, ASIC prices / GHs and Bitcoin price are changing. One day, it might be good investment...

A single USB is not going to do anything for you at all.  Start thinking about 10 or 100 and you are talking.

About the 100, one computer will be unable to mine on so many USB devices. 10 is ok though

Just so you dont buy more than you can handle  Wink

bout £16

If your goal is to mine for a profit, then £16 is too much because it will never mine £16 worth of bitcoins. I would not pay more than £1.85 each. Also, keep in mind that the amount that a miner will mine drops about 30% about every 11 days. Over the next 11 days, the most I would pay will drop from £1.85 to £1.40.

i saw some USB miners on ebay is it worth buying one and putting it in my pc as i dnt have money for the more expensive miners and how much can you make from 1 usb miner

One of those USB miners will mine somewhere between 0.025 BTC and 0.040 BTC. 1 BTC costs about $190 right now, so the miner will mine between $4.75 and $7.60 worth of BTC.  I wouldn't pay more than $3 for one. How much are they?

ok is there such thing as a USB litecoin miner or dont they exist

There are not any ASICS for SCRYPT (litecoin algo) that I'm aware of.  Litecoin was specifically designed to combat ASICS implementation.  There are some FPGAs claiming to deal with SCRYPT, but I have not used or seen one operating in the way it was designed.

Just type in "bitcoin profit calculator" and you will get lots of hits.

keep in mind that things that look too good to be true usually are.
