are you using linux or windows ?
What mining software are you using ?
Claymores software have a built in function to monitor your rig , sending you email if hashrate dropped , or if any of your miner went offline .

But the problem on Claymores software is that they notiffy you by email after more then 30 min when your rig is off(at least mine work like this)

you can set the time delay under option / events

also with port forwarding you are able to monitor your rig from you phone anytime from anywhere Smiley

I also recommend ethmonitoring.com. Developer is very active and they have a discord channel to chat with other users if you have an issue.

MinerKeeper is a console application that constantly monitors your miner and restarts the miner in case he crashed or stopped mining due to any internal errors.
MinerKeeper, if you want, can also inform you about the restart of the miner by sending an e-mail message to your e-mail address.

Please check this blog post or see the GitHub repository directly.

If you need more monitoring features, just let me know.

As far as I've seen there's a few monitoring apps but none really help me much. I'd much rather have something running on the rigs instead of waiting for an inactive worker email from my pool. Also something that will actually wake me up if something goes wrong at 3AM.

Any suggestions? I'm prepared to build an android app if nothing fits my needs but it sure would be nice if SimpleMining had an API or something that I could use rather than putting something else running on each rig to post their status every few minutes.
I would recommend you EthMonitoring \ EthControl. It's free and you can monitor or control (autorestart, apply config changes remotly, etc.) your rig + there is android app and telegram notification.
Here is EthMonitoring \ EthControl official thread:
