If you want to solo mine you can use these places https://2miners.com/solo-music-mining-pool http://music.ehashcoins.ru/ Although as stated previously, it's not recommended, you'll make more using a pool. Good luck!

Ah..we got an example for altcoin solo mining pool.  Wink

Yes, global hashrate must be more concern when we were going to solo mining, even when we do in a solo mining pool.

I am mining Musicoin at Nomnom mining pool but within 4 days I have found 4 blocks with 110 Mhs hash power which this pool pays 300 coins for a block. In total mining in this pool so far I have done is 877 coins.

How can I do solo mining for Musicoin if this is possible? It appears this pool haven't paid me the blocks found by me but rather shared them with other people or I am missing something here. Couldn't find more information in the nomnom website that is why I am asking here.

I hope you've got paid by that pool, there's a lot of people that haven't got paid, I can't see how they're not scamming people, you can't mine blocks with 314 coins anymore, all blocks are now only worth 250 musicoins.

If you're looking for a good pool to mine musicoin try here https://gmc.epool.io/

It so simple, just install QT Wallet (related to coin you are using), then setting up a coin config (am talking about Windows), since you are using Hive OS you can do something like this: Guide

Good Luck, Buddy!
What the difference between pointing my rig to wallet and building my own pool. Which is better ?

Using a private pool, you can directly rent hashes somewhere out there (Let's says, Nicehash, MRR,...) in case you need more hashes for solo mining. But you need more cost to pay VPS or Dedicated server. (I assume your private pool built on the server). But you can also create your pool locally.

Using QT Wallet, you can only be using your local machine, except you skilled on port forwarding nor stratum proxy. You can Google it.

So,I felt more suitable using the private pool on the server than QT Wallet. But don't forget to save PrivKey, in case something bad happens.

Basically, this is how pooled mining works:

1. The pool will take all of their miner's hashes,
2. Trying to solve block transactions,
3. Capturing how much each miner contribute when trying to solving a block,

And finally, when this pool was solving a block.

4. The pool will pay their miner proportionally. Depends on how much contribution from each miner.

You can do solo mining with pointing your rig to Music coin wallet nor build your own private pool. But with Network Hashrate 853.15 Gh/s (at this moment), you have a bit chance of solving blocks.
How do you point you rig to your wallet ? (Btw i use hive os) I want to solo mine some small coin.

Ok thank you, it appears it is a misunderstanding of mine about how a mining pool works. With 853 ghs I understand it would be worthless to do solo mining so I will continue with pool mining.

I thought each block mined by me in a mining pool was mine but know I understand that is a misconception and that everyone who participates there is paid on shares found. Thank you for clarifying me.

Yeah, that's how pooled mining works, except solo mining pool such as solo.ckpool.org (Bitcoin solo mining pool). This kind of pool would give full block reward (-fee) to their miner who was solving the block.

Edit: seems has mentioned above me!

Anyway some pools have solo mining option, where you are a part of the pool hash power but you only get full block rewards for the blocks you found.

On some pools it shows how many blocks you found, so this way you can calculate if its worth it.

Yes with 853 GH its not advisable to solo mine unless you have at least 1 GH of power. I had great success solo mining a coin that has 25 GH with my 300 MH for instance.

You are mining on a pool, just because you mined these 4 blocks doesn't mean you'll get the full block reward. Other miners have also helped into mining each specific block, receiving shares, thus, each block might be mined by 100 different people and the reward is made up of how many shares you've sent.
