3050ti is a weak GPU and using a laptop for mining isn't a good idea because I still believe that laptops aren't made for mining around the clock, even gaming around the clock is bad idea you will face overheating issue and shorten the life span of the laptop
Laptops and mining isn't great as the heat dispersion isn't as great as it has a single small fan. Otherwise the internal heat will destroy your components. Wink
The best laptops for mining are gaming laptops, they have incredible heatsink and more than one fan, I have a Alienware x17 here that get rid of heat using up to 4 different fans, I have also seen a mining farm full of laptops only for mining and they work really well

In such a laptop, as a rule, one fan is installed, and its price is no more than $ 20.
Mining will be profitable only if the payback period of the laptop is less than the warranty period.
Better to buy RX580 for $ 500 and mine coins.
This video card works without problems for 36 months or more in mining.
well i made fully payback rtx 3060 laptop mined eth for almost 5 months at first january 2021 and stoped after eth fee hardfork

nice back then when defy driving fee to the roof and as a miner makes 2x more profitable sometimes, after that the laptop only for gaming & trading
From January to August 2021, it was possible to recoup a laptop if you bought it at a good price. But now it’s impossible to repeat that payback if the price of Ethereum doesn’t rise.
But as a proponent of long-term mining, I prefer video cards.
I saw miners who broke 2-3 laptops out of 10 laptops in the same period of time.
Well I think it's same thing with GPUs too most especially if you buy them used, in a year of mining I lost two GPUs for unknown reasons and they never worked till this day, the cards are AMD Radeon Vega 56, I don't have issue with Nvidia cards

Laptops are good for mining if they are gaming built laptops so they can get rid of heavy heats easily but 3050ti is less effective for mining even 1660super on laptops performs better so go for 1660super or ti laptops instead

Don't buy laptops with 3050ti for mining, even for gaming I don't like it's performance compared to 1660super in laptops but 3050ti supports the latest architecture which some newer games benefits from, still 1660super gives 30+MH on laptops mining ETH
It's works fine, and long as it stays cool while doing so. Hell, the newer laptops with 30 series cards are getting over 20-25MH now. However, eventually you'll need to replace those fans in your laptop Roll Eyes.

Now it is very unreasonable to buy a laptop for mining, because video cards are sold in stores, the price for a megahash will be cheaper, the video card has a 36-month warranty, and good video cards do not have problems with overheating.
Miners bought laptops when they were cheaper than video cards.

How come? Is 3050ti a LHR card? Cos it performs so fast in gaming I was expecting more than 30MH on ETH mining, 22MH sucks for such a high end GPU, even my 1660 gtx do 27MH max, this is a huge turn off for me lol, thanks for sharing

You can't compare a laptop GPU with a desktop version of the same model, look at the specs of each for a better
comparison. But yes it's probably LHR too.
there is lhr gpu in laptop gaming, all gpu is unlocked and lower memory speed is expected on laptop series compared desktop

and power limit can overide by bios flashing, well with thath number 20mhs thats run poorly compared rtx 3060 laptop thath run 38-48mhs depend on memory speed tied by power limit

https://www.betterhash.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3050-Ti-Laptop-GPU-mining-profitability-63128673.html
The hash rate for the KawPow (NBMiner) algorithm is similar to the truth, but you shouldn't count on such a profit for a long time. If Ethereum mining ends, then the profit on other algorithms will quickly decrease.
Is this 4GB or 8GB graphics card?
It is better not to buy 4 GB, because many coins need more memory.

Sorry to say 3050ti in laptops are weaker at mining that the gtx1660ti in laptops, 1660ti in my Asus laptop do 31MH on Nicehash easily but I'm scared of killing my laptop so fast but 3050ti just performed even worse so it is what it is mate, go for laptop with 1660super or ti if you want to mine with them, price are roughly the same

Guys I got an offer on a laptop with Ryzen 7 and RTX3050Ti today and the gaming was so cool and smooth, though I watched that off YouTube but I don't know the mining performance of this 3050ti anyone familiar with this mobile GPU mining capability? Pls share me hashrate

Its about 20MH in stock. 22-24 with overclock.
