What you think minning with mobile device is worthles? Just imagine my phone stay up for 24hours lol
Already tried minning with GPU and broke my pc lmao i dont think is my phone better than pc :/

i think it's still not worth if you want to mine using your phone because your phone needs to stay up for 24 hours with this your phone can be exploded.\
but the main thing is how much we can earn in a day if you want to mine using a phone? because if you can mine more than 100$ in a day i think it will be good if you do that.

I already have some  experience about mining in my mobile and it has end with scam and west of your time and  your mobile energy so better stop using such mobile miming applications and promoting them. If someone looking legit altcoins miming then you can mine ETN coins with there could mining applications.

I think pi is a scam, I don't think the "Stanford PhD's exist and it's not even a blockchain, it's a mlm scheme. Electroneum however is mineable and based on cryptonight "monero" code. The mobile app is admittedly not real mining (it's simulated) but it is a blockchain secured by miners selected by electroneum because they run a charity/non-profit. The app is easy to use and you can even buy mobile contracts in some countries with ETN and there is a new craigslist like platform being integrated. You can mine faster if you use the code DD9D62

You can mine JSEcoin on your phone. Direct your mobile browser to jsecoin.com/o/?a=32224 it only mines when your browser is open and screen is on so you will need to download a keep screen on app too. It is designed to use very little cpu power so it's okay for mobile mining, you could even mine on a playstation or smarttv or fridge.

If it is mining as in mining, that is not going to last long. If a CPU overheats and consumes a lot of electric energy, then a cell phone will have a shorter battery or life span. Think twice about this. You might end up buying a new cell phone every month.
Very well said. Mining uses a huge amount of energy and I don't think that phones can handle this kind of activity. If you want to mine then buy a mining rig because I phones can nothing to do with it. Besides, there will be halving again you need to upgrade your mining rig in order to solve those blocks. And even a computer I think would not be a good idea to use upon mining so better if you will purchase a mining rig.

it is a social mining, as I understood, it is not PoW, so does not require a lot of processing power, it is important to have many contacts to reach larger rewards...
app goal is to have trusted network, through people include people they trust in a secure network, but since there is a better reward if you introduce more people, people are willing to introduce everyone, and main goal to have secure and trusted network will not be easy to reach...
it is not trade-able, as far as I know

Yeah, I have realized this. It is not going to be the typical mining that we think about. It is not PoW as you have correctly pointed out. This is not about running your smart phone online 24/7. This is more of a mining in terms of creating a network through invitations, and then asking for confirmation to make sure no bot has entered the game.

For now, there is nothing that one can actually gain from the token. If somebody knows, why do people continue to mine PI then?

Stop promoting a project like this, please. If you want to promote your offer do it in the proper way, create an ANN thread at least. I don't believe mining on a phone can be profitable, rather it will harm your smartphone,'s health, will consume high electricity and so on. Therefore you saying this app gets downloaded over 500k times, but I can't see it on google!

i think it's not a good idea to mine crypto using your cell phone
it's not the same with desktop or laptop that have cooling system
usually, the phone battery will overheat and get damaged and buying a new phone is expensive
in my opinion, it's not really worth to try

The app works great. But there is no withdrawal, no value, it's a blank like Abe. No point it fall under the same logic as anything can be currency as long as its desired. Like the bottle cap theory at the end of the world. Same logic no point. It is a cloud miner. Will revisit in the future if it has more of a plan I will give it a new review

There's a possibility of one buying new phone as you have rightly said. Basically I wouldn't advise anyone to ever try using his or her phone for mining of any kind. Phones has low capacity to mining compare to computers which where designed for such purpose.
You don't need even a new phone to mine crypto and the old one is enough to be used to mine a new crypto that based on mobile phone to mine the coin. Ah it looks like you don't understand about how it works. i suggest you to take a look at pi and read about what makes it able to be mined with your phone. ETN is much better to get the best information regarding this.

That is the major drawback of mining via phone. Of course, you will not see the effect at the beginning but give it few months and you might see the effect on your phone. It is really not advisable to mine on your phone 24/7. This is the reason why there is no project that is successful on this.

Actually this is a fun thing, we just have to capitalize on the smartphone and start getting from the results of mining. but behind it all, if you think broadly, this is not a form of innovation, but just to play. imagine if your smartphone lives 24 hours full and with heavy tasks like this mining. I'm sure the age of your smartphone will not be long, plus malware sometimes likes to infiltrate obscure programs. It's better to use the PoS method in my opinion.

I think there's some mistake in your mind, there's no profitable mining using phone. The right answer is built your own rig, use your warehouse or garage as space, make solar energy for electricity supply and let it run. Big fund at the front but you'll get huge income at the end. Use phone as the function, communication only. Mining need space, hard equipment and electricity supply, all of that can't be done by phone.

Funny because cellphones cannot sustain btc or altcoins mining today. As time pass by and btc keeps on making the halving gpu will always need to be upgraded in order to maintain the speed of solving the blocks and to get the reward as fast as your gpu performance. How can you expect a mobile phone to mine anything when the power and memory is very limited. Think about it guys.

Pi is not yet ready to trade till now. How many coin we will get for 24hours mining? Does it consume too much space in mobile? Does it consume too much energy? Faster device will mine more coins than old/slower cheap? Please answer these questions. App will be safe as google store has stored it, it seems

If you are talking about PI, I believe the daily reward is the same whether you have an old CP or the high end new brand as long as the app is compatible.  The only thing that will have you an advantage is for you to have lots of referral.  The more people you refer on the PI network the bigger the bonuses you will get.  PI network is just a simulation and there is really no mining activity when you run it.

I agree that it is not advisable to mine on a mobile phone, it will cost you more than your mining profit.

I will advise you to just forget about it.

Mining on a phone is not good and even if you do and take the risk of making your beautiful phone pass through heat it’s still not worth it because the reward isn’t much.

I have tried to mine with my phone once, a 2gb RAM phone with a CPU of 1.3 GHz, and my phone froze up and stopped working and just kept heating up to the extent I was just freaking confused and thought it’s going to blow and then I started to hit the power button and luckily for me the phone switched off and I left it to cool off before restarting it again and it was good. Then I checked if I have gotten any reward from the platform and I got zero, lol.

So, it is not worth it, unless this one will be different. But my advice is that if you want to mine, buy a computer and set-up your miner.

Mining on the phone is a good idea, but until now it didn't work because we only get a few cents when we mine. It is best not to test this method because it is very time-consuming and does not bring benefits to us. It is best to use your phone to trading, it can bring you more profits and your phone will last longer.

I think these was an old concept that they are trying to resurrect, for me mining in smartphones is not a good idea, you know why because it may break your phone, when you letting it to mine for hours, just notice in a few hours of continuous usage you can feel that your phone temperature was rising in just an ordinary usage? what about if you are using it to mine cryptocurrency im afraid that it might be explode.

Install a malware application to receive "a little amount". Honestly, I don't understand why GooglePlay Store still accept these types of applications. A hundred thousand times less productive than using a VGA or CPU to mine. Even, you could make a better amount if you sharing your data while surfing the website or watch ads on GPT sites. Tongue

does it really work? I mean is it really profitable?
I heard dozens of threads about mining on the phone, they even made ico about their project.
how much hashrate is given from each cellphone?
I just think with the capacity of the cellphone battery and it takes a long time to mine coins, it's just a useless thing.

How we will confirm that this mining apps (PI) not stealing our data.Because this apps is not familiar, not reputed even this coin is not listed in CMC. You have to proof that this app is safe for us.
For this reason, you should stay away from mining the coins on your cellphone. Mining on mobile only makes your cell phone damaged quickly and the cost we get is also not enough for service costs. We have to count a few small details like that. I personally not recommend to Miner for mining on Cellphone

When I read the headline, Wow thought it was cool. And I read the comments and realized why I still do not mine using my cell phone) It is very unfortunate that this is all a divorce. And the idea is good, to mine bitcoin or ether via phone, it would be just super. At least several times less than from the farm, but still mine.

First of all it's a flop concept as mining will not be profitable and even if you do it for couple of days over mobile you could hardly earn few cents and moreover it will slowdown your mobile. Mining is only for those who have ample of space and cost of electricity is lesser in their country as mining is not for everyone.
Far from reality that it will produce good amount of coins and have decent value in the future, mining is for those good  rigs you are just putting your
mobile device in danger sooner or later it will collapse and the amount of your mined coins is not enough to replace your phone. Think of all those risk
that you'll going to bring from your mobile devices.

I'm not sure about mining through cell phones, because it will definitely require a large storage space, is it possible this can be done? while mining through a computer alone still needs a few modifications to get the expected results will be maximal. once there was a developer who made an application with the name "mango coin", and that only mined the coins themselves. well, it seems to be more useful if there are developers who are able to create an application with their own coin name that is able to create new innovations in the crypto world, than to create a miner application on a cell phone that has not yet got clear results.

I have not yet heard of anything about mining through mobile phone devices for I know that basically usage of mining devices such as computers is in need to be done because mobile or smart phones are just a small compact version of computers that is made for convenient usage. But if it would be possible to mine using mobile devices, that will be great for it provide convenience. But still, I cannot barely imagine that mobile phones can already cater mining for the reason that mining process requirea big source of electricity and storage which most commonly computers can only possess. Also, I haven't heard about Pi token and if it was already being listed into an exchange and if it is really worthy to be mined. But still, it is quite interesting if it can really be possible to mine using mobile phones.

I am mining Pi for about 2 months and still the only function of the app is a bottom where you click on mining and that´s all. No use case for the token, no exchange listing, so why we should use the app?

Is this the same PI of PCHAIN or is this different? PI of PCHAIN is already offered in the market. But this PI that we are discussing here is different, right? They have the same ticker that is why I am confused.

PI Network is not yet on any exchange right now. I think they are still on development process.

I think calling it "mining" is a misunderstanding. The application that we download to a mobile phone does not use the battery at all. It's just not "mining" and it works like a faucet. We just launch the application once a day and enable the calculation of coins. Very similar to normal faucets, but here we have an application for it.
So it's totally different from how ETN used to be back then? If it's not that much different than faucets, doesn't it make them as useless as faucet is?

As far as I know, mining on your phone will consumed all of your phone resources, e.g, battery life, ram and many more. And sometimes it can cause your phone to overheat.
I have no idea if'll make a difference with phone nowadays, because phone nowadays is very high tech and all.

I assure you that this application does not consume battery. But in my opinion this is not "mining". As I wrote, it is more like refreshing the faucet once a day and collecting coins.
This is not a worthless faucet, because the creators assure you that the coin will enter the exchange. I think that this is more about build a community and I think it works, because according to developers, over a million people are using this application right now.

I think that it is not possible to mine through cellphone because the cellphone doesn't have enough power to solve algorithms from the blockchain. If you are serious and if you want to mine and experience a passive income then you should invest in the mining rigs or build it by your own by buying graphics or video card to save a little bit of money.

Lol... Whoever believes this crap of mining on a phone probably needs to do more research about mining. Mining require lots of processor power which i believe a mobile device let alone laptops and conventional personal computers can't handle.

You may end up downloading a malware onto your device because of the stupid greed of worthless coins and ignorance.

LOL. I am not a fan of crypto mobile mining for obvious reasons. Firstly, crypto mobile mining is possible, but it comes with a long list of reasons not to do it. Moreover, mining on your smartphone doesn’t even come close to traditional mining hardware or software. In the current state of cryptocurrency mining, doing it on your smartphone might not bring you enough profits to be worth the time and effort.

Secondly, we don't have enough powerful mining phones build for such crypto mining tasks.

Honestly, i already tried mining with my smartphone with honeymining and i have been using my 3 smartphones and it is opened 24/7, but i already stop doing it a long time ago because it is not worth it due to less income and more work. I also think that a lot of crypto users have also done this that they have mine using their smartphones because not everybody can afford materials in mining in computers.
Just imagine how hard mining when using a PC with a complete equipment and then compare your smartphones to a computer. Do you think your smartphones would last a month or maybe a week with less/right equipments to sustain longer? Plus, compared the results of what you have gained versus with the computers? Isn't it too much for your smartphone? Right? That's why don't use smartphones when mining because it is too consuming.

But why mine Pi when its not yet in the exchange, you would better be doing it with ETN since its already up on exchanges, that's an assurance that there is a market for what you are mining. Its disappointing when you have a lot of these PI but won't be able to know its value but with ETN you will know whether you can still buy another phone incase it breaks.

mining like that is difficult for us to get a decent profit. well, it has indeed been downloaded by many smartphone users but whether or not they will actually maintain the application or not, because with the large number of downloads it is not guaranteed and i'm sure it is the same as cloud mining which will not even make us a good profit even though you have struggled for a long time
Mining is not profitable most especially now a days here in my country due to inflation of the electric billing every month. The money that you earn is not enough to pay electrical bills these days that's why I dont think that mining is still profitable now a days. It is much better if you will just post like this in the forum. You will earn money, you conserve energy and most especially its time efficient.

Mobile phones could be like making its evolution rapidly right now in terms of CPU and GPU, I don't think it would still be able to handle these stressful tasks though.
I won't ever use my phone for mining even if there's like a way to do it possibly. It could kill the battery judging from how much juice it consumes when it is even done in desktop computers.
mining is a peaceful platform so those are have huge GPU they make wonderful profit in mining platform. But mobile mining is a harmful process and it will affect the mobile  phone also so most are trying like you. I think next generation cell phones are more cool in any processing so it is compatible for next year mobile phones.

Dude, this is a big hoax. The processing power of mobile phones is very low. You need a lot of processing power to mining. People dream, but it's wrong. Your cell phone may burn. Never mind that. They can do it with malware.
yes, that's what I'm worried about too, cell phone devices might not be able to reach the capacity to mine. after all, it was also clear from the beginning, mining coins that were not yet listed was very risky. various things like you said, malware, or hacking of the device actually become things that we have to think about.

You do not need to waste time with this way of mining because it will not make you profitable. Mining on a phone is a bad idea because the processor chip of the phone is very poor and it is not enough to perform mining. Even if you try to do it, it will only bring you a few cents, and your phone will quickly be damaged. It is best to make bounty and airdrop, you can make more money than this mining method
Yes, although the technology on smartphones has changed over time but it's still not a device that can be a good mining machine, many people have consulted this issue and they realize that the phone will quickly run out of power, even heat up the phone while the volume that can be mined is very low. Instead of our assets so wasted, I agree with you that the bounty and the airdrop will become better places to earn bitcoin.

Pi too is not an actual mining. It's a mining simulation and Pi is still not a coin with blockchain or even a token. The team is creating the hype before launching their token. They are enforcing users with KYC for getting the launched tokens in the past. It might be to avoid users with multiple IDs getting rewarded but it also would be risky to give your KYC to someone for that small amount of coin value.

This is definitely true. I have done that before and I only ended up with my mobile phone broke which is really frustrating. There's no app right now which could really mine a profitable coin. Our mobile phone specs couldn't reach and provide the specs needed in mining. We shouldn't trust mining apps which are just downloadable online. We should also be careful because some apps are risky.

Pi network? this isn't different from the other mining simulation that was introduced before or it's totally different from electroneum? op lacks of details of what you're trying to say in here. You just want to attract users to download that app.

I will not download anything related to crypto except the wallet apps that I trust because apps like this can easily use your phone for their own agenda. Unless someone will explain this clearly to me.

if this is true, then it will only make the cellphone you have short-lived. as we know that mining needs hardware that is active for 24 hours, and that will make your cell phone work hard. Well, if it works, I don't know whether the results are the same as what you want or not. I suggest to look for other ways to mining
It's not true at all. As far as i know when that coin use a good algo that creates efficiency and that will not make your phone will be overheat caused by mine for 24 hours. Some people have already tried to use their phone to mine ETN in the past and it looks like they can still running until now. But just try to use an old phone will much better.
what makes coin that already mentioned by OP is not worth to mine caused by it has no liquidity.

Mining on a phone would not be profitable in a long time run it would damage the phone due to excessive rig and damage the cell,  also the hashrate very low invariably very difficult to earn some coins mining involves deployment of mining rigs with high power consumption.
Let us careful and not be decieved by some app developers who are after the numbers of downloads to earn their bucks.

I won't try to mining on a cell phone because I don't want to make my phone damage. If I have more than 5 mobile phones, perhaps, I will consider mining with a mobile phone, but since I only have 1 cell phone, I don't want to try it. Mining on a mobile phone is not recommended because you don't get a nice reward, and I think there are more disadvantages that you will get if you still want to try. Perhaps, if there is a mobile phone design for mining on a cell phone created, I think that can help you to mining Pi on the mobile phone.

I do not think this thing is going to work because the ability of our cellphone is much more lower than computer. Computer Mining needs an high ends specification of PC. So, it will probably need a high end cellphone also for you to be able to mine. If you force your phone to mine for you, it might be broken because it cannot handle that kind of work load.

Mining on mobile is an ineffective and inefficient way of not generating more than using a mining rig. But if their project is running on the mining cloud, it's like no more investment. And not a recommendation because it endangers the phone components if used mining with heavy except the cloud earlier.

Though I haven't tried it yet since they are going to do their KYC soon and as much as I like the concept of their project, KYC is not for me. Some members of our local board said that it is better than ETN when it comes to saving power and battery.

in my opinion this will only be a waste of time, especially the effects on your smartphones will certainly quickly decrease the life of its use in other words it will be easily damaged, because smartphones are not intended for mining.

I think calling it "mining" is a misunderstanding. The application that we download to a mobile phone does not use the battery at all. It's just not "mining" and it works like a faucet. We just launch the application once a day and enable the calculation of coins. Very similar to normal faucets, but here we have an application for it.
if this is similar to "faucet", still it's all a waste of time unless the results are worth the time spent (can get profit).

Yes! It is the new brand of smartphone where you could destroy it with mining coins. It could be bought for a cheap price so that you wont regret destroying it over and over again.  Grin

Yeah! Smartphones use chargers only for them to have power and the battery's capability cannot take what the mining power needs.
Perhaps there will be a way to direct the power from the outlet to the smartphone.
Oh hey, they might call it "computerphone".  Grin

Real mining in smartphone will not be profitable now and i think it might take years to be made smartphone for mining but i think no one will focus on and smartphone will be used for what was created first time only. Possible to be some projects that give coins via an app but that is not real mining. About PI coin i don't know what to say, i had the app last year but i delete it because i not like how is made and i don't know if have a chance now.

Mining on the phone is very troublesome in my opinion. How come when the phone we use every day has to be mining Pi on the sidelines of time.
Electroneum did it first and it has been proven that it is very good by issuing a special mining cellphone.
But here we don't know what the future can be achieved by Pi when we continue mining on the phone. Whether it will be valuable or not is not clear. Unless Pi already exists on the market and can be sold when the minimum withdrawal from mining is met.

As far as I know, mining on your phone will consumed all of your phone resources, e.g, battery life, ram and many more. And sometimes it can cause your phone to overheat.
I have no idea if'll make a difference with phone nowadays, because phone nowadays is very high tech and all.

As much as anything can be mined on a cellphone, of course, it will only waste time if it is done on several cellphone components, as we know if we want to mine it certainly requires a lot of components to be able to quickly produce blocks and of course requires very detailed calculations to calculate how the range of income we will receive compared to expenses at the time of mining, so in my opinion mining using a cellphone is not much different when we do the faucet.

mining using a celuller or smartphone phone is not recommended, any type of mining is not recommended. This Pi offers a lot of convenience, but unfortunately Pi has not been registered in any exchanger so far, so if you take into account the advantages and disadvantages will be more prominent in terms of losses, consumption of a lot of cell phone space, internet quota, etc. I think this makes your time a waste. Not to mention the malware that can infect your device.

The reason why it is not recommended is that it consumes a lot of energy, and there's a possibility that your phone will be defective if prolonged mining. Just invest with separate miners like rasberry PI and other hardware set-up, I think this is more efficient instead of mobile devices.

Pi is not yet ready to trade till now. How many coin we will get for 24hours mining? Does it consume too much space in mobile? Does it consume too much energy? Faster device will mine more coins than old/slower cheap? Please answer these questions. App will be safe as google store has stored it, it seems

I'm part of the PI network and one of it's pioneer I'm not getting many Pi because I always forgot to turn this on, on their latest update they are doing selective KYC to some of their pioneers, I haven't receive my invitation to do KYC but I'll definitely turn it down, imagine they will get the data of their over 1 million miners, which is not good for a project. that call itself Cryptoicurrency in a real sense.

I have also heard of this Pi token which can be mined through a cellphone. But I am wondering if how much it could drain my battery because my smart phone is basically designed when I am mobile. I may not be able to reach my contacts because a few hours is all it takes for the whole battery to drain because of this.

Another question. What if you are turning off your data or your wi-fi or your smart phone itself, will the mining also stop?

Been hearing those Pi mining, etc. Do you have any proofs that mining on cellphones is really  successful? I do have bad experienced on this, last year I was hooked by a mining websites where you can mine a particular token that can be converted into btc with minimum required amount. But that was the start of my nightmare since the site was a phishing site and they hacked my passwords right away and my email.

From that, I don't usually trust mining on mobile phones. It probably be one way to scam people. Anyway, the phone need high specs to do mining but my question is, is there really a success mining story thru mobile phones?

I am personally running this on my phone at the moment. But at this point, they are only just moving people onto the live network. Until they coin hits exchanges it is literally valueless. I have had no issues with it as it barely affects my phone's performance or battery life. I just have to tell the app to mine once a day, so I am happy to see how it goes and ride the journey and potentially help a new crypto start off. I have literally no investment other than clicking 1 button ones a day for the app to do its thing, so even if it turns out to be nothing I have lost nothing from running it.

But as always check out the website and you can start your research

Just to clarify a few things. By "mining" your phone is simply a node validating transactions as part of the Stellar Consensus Protocol that they are using. Therefore it uses bearly any battery and bearly any use of the SOC.

It is still in pilot testing stages and that is why it is not listed. They have a central server inputting transactions into the network for testing, but they have said that people part of the testing stages will keep the coins that have been "mined"

I think before coming in here and shredding a guy up for trying to chat about a new project, have a look into it and give educated advice.

it consumes small energy but it's not worth to mine a coin that is not yet listed on exchange site and the real purpose of this thread to be a promotion thread. Mining app doesn't consume too much space in your smartphone.

Mining on a cell phone is not profitable but should try PI Network when will be listing in exchange because there is no news to listing in exchange and how to verify the account ?

ETN is much better than PI network in terms of price and liquidity.

Firstly, how will this affect the phone? Why would I weaken the phone for a token we do not know how much it will cost? Besides, as I understand we can mine just a token called Pi. If mining other coins/tokens are not possible with this app, will not the price of token be lower because of easy accessibility? So, what about its product? Mining by phone or?
