Mining is only profitable with professional hardware and if you have access to cheap electricity. Many coins produce only a small profit and ETH will change to POS later.

Sadly that is the current case, but who knows what the future holds in terms of new tech.

Don't see any reason why it would change.  If powerful tech become available to everyone the profit margin would shrink to virtually nothing as everyone would be trying to get easy money.

You can mine ETN through your phone. This is how its works.
ETN calculated how much hashrate you have if your phone is in perfect conditions.
I do it now for a couple of days and have 5 ETN with doing nothing. Battery is still normal. (1 day intensive use)
What I've read with other ETN miners, you are getting almost the same number of ETN daily. This means that its really not about the spec of your smartphone but its designated to be used by its supporters and reward them with few ETN to make them look like they are mining which basically they really don't.

That's not mining - it's simulated mining and you could even call it some kind of airdrop.
Real mining on a mobile would just decrease the lifetime of your hardware without any profit.
Agree.

I am really confused using mining ARM Miner, is it still working today?

Im not sure if it was or still working today. Mining with the use of smart phones are possible, because some of the high-end android phones has a poweful GPU generating an average around 1 to 2 MH/s. The downside is, it will definitely kill your phone, consuming a lot of battery causing it to lessen its lifespan and overheating. Its like youre mining for nothing coz you'll only recieve small amount of coins. Its better to have a mining rig if you planned to mine.

I tried mining on my phone and my phone's battery is draining fast, not only that, the temperature keeps on increasing in exchange of a small amount satoshi. I guess its not that profitable to take the risk of damaging your phone. just saying...
Yes, android mining is not so much effective as compared to mining with a PC or a miner as android mining will give you a very less profit and also if you do it for long time it is not worth it. Still it is possible to mine bitcoin with android from some snapdragon cups and very less other cups but still it will damage your core and make your mobile a heater if used constantly.

I recommend not too do mining with a phone as it is like a loss as it will damage your mobile and also give you a very less sum of bitcoin.

Yes.It will damage your phone due to overheating. Mining in PC needs of cooler to cool and GPU .In PC needs of highly configure software and storage. So it's hard to mining in Normal Personal Computer. Then how it's easy to mine in small Android phone. I will not recommend you to mine in Android phone for sure.It surely damage your phone.

I don`t think mining on your android phone would work. Modern smartphones are still too weak for mining. Most of processors can`t withstand such a stress. And those few that can are not able to quickly and efficiently work. The process of mining takes so long that only your great-grandchildren will be able to take advantages of its result.

Hi!!! I agree that mining in a cell phone is not profitable, but, you can manage the wallets for staking, in some coins like NEO, WAVES and NEM. NEO give you some GAS, more coins, more time the wallet online and get more GAS, for NEM you need to have 10000 NEM in your wallet to start harvesting, and for WAVES you receive some other tokens in your wallet, ok, is not mining, is staking, but you can obtain some profit.

Saludos!!!

Do not stress yourself bro! There is no way mining can be possible with your android phone. Even if you are to use your PC, you will just be as good as generating nothing except you are hoping that what you are mining will one day grow to be a huge value. Some people though, have some free system at work that they make use of to mine Monero but Android or phone is very impossible.

Probably we may just have to wait and see if it would end up possible or not. Electroneum almost tried this and now they are not even sure yet where they are heading to as they have shifted gear by starting with PC mining after all the hype about mobile mining. If it is as easy as it sounds, we would have all started mining with our phones by now.

Mining of cryptocurrency on android may not be as effective as it would be if you use your PC instead of mobile phone for mining your coins. However, there are a few applications out there on the market that allows smartphone users to mine crypto coins. But mining bitcoin using an Android device will cost you more than what you spend in terms of power, battery life etc. Mining altcoins based on CryptoNote and CryptoNight protocols are considered a bit easier on Android devices.

Android mobile is designed to do simple operations and simple games so we can't expect that to mine bitcoin for us.But is still possible to mine with android but the rewards will be less and our mobile will be damaged for continuous damage.
So it is good to invest some money to buy miners and mine using the miners to earn good money.

If this were possible, it would be very good

This is not at all possible hope people who would have tried it would have being felt pathetic because it will eat away your battery quickly and your life of the phone gets affected due to overheating and continuous charging of the phone. So avoid doing any of such things with mobile phone.
It will even deteriorate the phone's life in the long run. I tried testing the freebitco.in mobile mining which is more of a Monero converted to bitcoin immediately mining and my phone became so hot even at just 2 threads and 80% CPU usage and what did I get at the end ?

1 satoshi after 20 minutes. It is really pointless and for the fact that you will have to either leave your phone plugged to the charger and keep your data running, it is totally not worth it.

There is no profit with mining the bitcoin with the any small devices such as mobile phones and tablets. If you want to mine the bitcoin means you should choose the one of good ASIC mining hardware.
Please you can quit your opinion to mine bitcoin with the phone and go to mine any altcoin with the computer and multiple graphics card.
You will get the better hash rate with the GPU cards than the mobile phone. Please do not believe shit applications states that it is possible to mine the bitcoins.

I don't think android mining is available nor recommendable that's because phones are really slow, even with CPU  on your computer which is faster than your phone won't even let you earn on it and it is a waste of time and your energy but I know why you have asked this question because you have seen or read that there is an android phone mining which I also have read but I think it is still not available and they are still working on it or probably it is just a scheme to attract people. Mining on android is impossible right now but I we don't really don't know in the future, with our technologies advancing every year nothing is impossible. What we can do is wait and if that happens and it because true, it would be a big success in our technology.

It is 100% impossible to mine with android phones, even the other phones are not capable of mining even 1% bitcoin. Mining requires strong hardware and lots of electricity. So, if you happen to come across an application that says "Mining bitcoin with android phones.", I recommend not to pay attention to it.

Do not try to download it because it will be just beneficial for them to earn money. Technology is not ready to invent a highly-advanced android phone to be able to mine bitcoin.

When you tried up to search the recent miners or things needed to mine bitcoin then for sure you would able to answer your own question. Which is "NO" since android phone arent asics to have a high computing power in able to mine bitcoin. Even on mining altcoins using mobile phones isnt possible how much more on bitcoin itself. Asic miners are the dedicated ones and do have the capability on mining bitcoin which isnt really cheap at all if you do try to look on its recent prices.

Well if android phones were mineable (or whatever the term is!!! Wink ), then people would not be using high end rigs to mine bitcoin. It is because of the power and computational effort required that needs development of a rig to mine bitcoins. Given the amount of transactions and their complexity, it would be impossible to mine them on the phones. The phone would probably die an untimely death Smiley But may be you cna make a video of how phones die when you mine bitcoins from your phone. Smiley Tongue

Your android mining app can only run at 40 hash/sec  which is basically equivalent to a C.P.U obtained from an old laptop though okay for mining but it will not last long and not recommended for phone this may damage and bricked your phone  and battety because of constant heat which is generated.

I am really confused using mining ARM Miner, is it still working today?

It is POSSIBLE, the problem is your mining Hash Rate compared to that of a CPU or GPU on a computer is next to nothing comparatively. So although it may be available it is usually not profitable and you risk your phone overheating. Much better off mining from a computer.
Yah better mine on a omputer as of now until something is invented to add to Android avoiding the phone is getting heated. As mining consumes more electric power,  you need to keep phone always on charge. But the phone is set at its threshold to consume less electric input which will not help mining.

1. Returns aren't enough- even for new low complexity tokens
2. You WILL (sooner or later) brake your phone because mobile processors aren't designed like desktop ones (first issue no-cooling)

It's still possible but the amount of money you get by mining with your android phone will not enough for you to buy a new phone Smiley. If mining with smartphone is really working and worth, I think nobody will spend a huge amount of money to buy expensive asics miners anymore Smiley. You should know that with thousands dollar you spend to by asics miner to mine cryptocurrency, you only can get back about 50 or 100$ per day so you'll need a long time to get all the money you invested back so you think it'll worth when you mine with your android phone?

for now, mining on android phone impossible to happen because the android phone can reduce your battery capacity quickly
and the age of your android phone will have an effect because of overheating, so it can damage the processor.
if this is possible? this will be good news.
technological advances will definitely develop methods that need to be used so that the android phone can be used later for mining bitcoin in the future.
so, nowadays we can only rely on cpu for mining. advice from me, use a cpu that has very good quality.

i never thought that you can use your phone to mine bitcoins because first of all.. a phone's specifications are not that stable in operating such a heavy task and second is that mining is usually performed on PCs where its specifications are definitely fit for mining though you are required to buy high quality equipment and rigs, some quite costly but would definitely prolong your PCs time in mining bitcoins. it may be possible to mine on your mobile device though the amount of bitcoins that you'll earn is lower than what you have expected.

I tried mining on my phone and my phone's battery is draining fast, not only that, the temperature keeps on increasing in exchange of a small amount satoshi. I guess its not that profitable to take the risk of damaging your phone. just saying...

Android mobile is designed to do simple operations and simple games so we can't expect that to mine bitcoin for us.But is still possible to mine with android but the rewards will be less and our mobile will be damaged for continuous damage.
So it is good to invest some money to buy miners and mine using the miners to earn good money.

I also know about exploiting bitcoin from android phone. But I think the effect is not great because bitcoin mining needs high performance but android phone is very hot and performance is not high. I think using iphone will be more effective.

If this were possible, it would be very good

This is not at all possible hope people who would have tried it would have being felt pathetic because it will eat away your battery quickly and your life of the phone gets affected due to overheating and continuous charging of the phone. So avoid doing any of such things with mobile phone.

Mining on Android phone is not possible. If that was possible, your processor would overheat and your phone would die.
