Does there exist a step-by-step tutorial for downloading, installing, and running cgminer for Bitcoin user a UBUNTU 12.10 32-bit platform?

Any tutorial I come across that I try to follow and I get errors.  Sad I'm a Ubuntu Noob.

Any help is appreciated.

You've already downloaded and installed it.  Now just open that directory and run cgminer.  You might be able to right click it and run it from the gui, it sounds like you don't know how to use the terminal.  If you can use the terminal just cd to that directory and type ./cgminer

There is no installation, you open it and run it. Make web search about how to configure cgminer.

Just cd to that directory and type ./cgminer  (I assume this is the name of the file)

You just need mining software that's supported by ubuntu.  Then type in the pool's address into the mining software.  I'm sure most mining software is compatible.  Here's one that looks pre-built and should work:  http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/cgminer-3.1.1-x86_64-built.tar.bz2

I just downloaded and extracted the file, but I am not sure how to install the software using Ubuntu 12.10? There is no Install or .exe

Thank you!
Then change the sequence Wink
Learn ubuntu, join pool, create worker, read cgminer's README, use cgminer Wink

I would like to join the BTC Guild, however I am using Ubuntu 12.10.

How can I do this?

Join the pool, create worker(s), then use cgminer with your ubuntu.

Hello!

I would like to join a mining pool, but not sure where to start? I was looking at BTC Guild. I run Ubuntu 12.10. Is there any mining pool software that I can use with Ubuntu?

Thank you!
