It really depends on what you are planning to mine. If it's mainly CryptoNight/Ethash coins, the clear choice are the RX 570 4GB cards. It it's Equihash/Lyra2RE, then the GTX 1070 is the better choice. If you're not sure, an option is to go with half of each or 4 RX 570 and 3 GTX 1070. That would give you the most flexibility or with a single type of card, then the GTX 1070's would give you the most versatility and performance across more algorithms as well.

Hi,
I am building GPU mining machine, but cant decide what GPUs to go with:

8× RX 470 4 GB or 6× Geforce GTX 1070.

The RX 470  would be modded to 28mhs for ether mining, so I would get around 220mhs.
The GTX 1070 will be from MSI or Gigabyte. The price difference is around 10%: 2900€ for 8×RX 470 and 3200€ for 6×GTX 1070.
I dont care about electricity costs..

Which system do you recommend for 2018?
I would mine whatever it is more profitable on nicecash (cryptonight, equihash..).
With whattomine calculator I got a minor profit advantage with NVIDIA 1070 system.

Any suggestions are welcome..

Thanks and happy holidays.
