Nothing is wrong with being scrypt-based. I was just telling him that if he wanted to get ASIC then he was limited to SHA-256 and the only coins that make sense is Bitcoins and Peercoin. You can't mine Litecoins with the USB block erupters.

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't realize peercoin was SHA-256

Yea that was the plan, to mine Altcoins and trade them for Bitcoins. I've heard of Multipool anyone had any luck with that? So I should get my rig bigger? I don't have a ton of capital though.

I would suggest going bigger. I went from 16 USB 333 to one Blade 10 GH to 200 GH/s for around $2500 its getting expensive. If i was you I wound mine Peercoin and just trade it.

I'm strongly thinking about investing in mining, for the fun and the profits. My questions are the following:

Can I use Antminers and Block Erupters on the same USB hub? Is it wise to do that?

How can I overclock the Antminers? Can I overclock them to 2 GH/s instead of 2.2 GH/s?

Is it safe to overclock the Antminers while using a fan?
