www.mininghardware.co.uk isn't reliable either. Very bad customer service. They remind me of BFL.

So if you want to get on board with ASIC mining, who can you trust for equipment, given they are all selling promises at this point, and units that are 'in hand' may never pay for themselves at the premiums being charged? $2300 for a 60 GH/s BFL? give me a break!

It should not be a problem with renaming wallet file and later change it back. Logistic problem is when you will have ten crypto wallets with different currency and will do all the super secure backup steps.

Next question is how often should I backup wallet.dat file.

 Huh

Fairly new to crypto-currency but i have been analysing this world since late October and want to make a move toward mining.

I feel a bit like a guppy in a shark tank. I have to thank this forum when I was just lurking here for providing some good intel and keeping me out of real trouble. I bought a hashfast Babyjet off someone on eBay for January (maybe) delivery and am biting my nails over that, since he has my money but the machine is still in production. He had the screenshots of the order confirmation and subsequent comms with hashfast so at least i believe it's a valid pre-order.

I have a few funds and am thinking of getting some prospero-1's from minersource.net.

Does anyone have any opinions on Black Arrow and minersource?

Question about wallet security -- what if you changed the filename to something else, say catlitter.txt, and changed it back when you wanted to use your wallet? Would that help keep it more secure without all the paranoid o/s-CD-hide-it-under-the mattress paranoia?

More later.
