You can just rent rigs on https://www.miningrigrentals.com/ , they have large amount of different algos and honest price for hashpower.

But i doubt a little about a profitability of shitcoin you want to mine - if it was profitable to mine with rent, many people already can do it

The answer lies within your question.

Is it worth taking out a contract to mine a shit coin that probably has a low volume and can see it's price divided by 2 the next day?

Cloud mining in general isn't worth it.

Use the money you would put into a cloud mining contract to buy bitcoin and just sit on it.

If you dont want to bother with mining then I would suggest not to, cloud mining won't get you the results you are looking for, if mining difficulty is real low on a certain coin chances are so is the price. I'd recommend just buying the coin you are looking for.

I dont think you need cloud company exactly .
Most clouds support only the major algos and yours probably wont be there (on your shit coins that is ) .

You may be better off (if your idea is to mine them and keep them for later on ) to talk directly with a miner and come into some kind of deal . He to rent you the rigs on algo on your choice .. you to pay him steady rent (per your agreement) .. and this way you can mine whatever you want ( considering the person is often online) .

The only one who benefits from cloud mining is the owner of the cloud mining company !

Maybe do you research and if you realy want to mine try some mining rent service for test !

Also depends what Coin and what Algo .
