Mining SKEIN with 1080ti on PCI-e1 x1 slots?

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers in safe mode using DDU and then reinstalling the drivers?

But i bet you have a newer MOBO with PCI-e 2.0 or 3.0 and i know these work just fine, but i have PCI-e 1.0 and it worries me. Guess nobody uses these anymore and i will just have to risk it and test for myself.

The newer PCI-E specifications can deliver more power through the slot, but the speed of the slot is not an issue. My old Dell XPS 700 had PCI-E 1.0 slots and I had no problem mining with three cards using powered risers. The problem I had was I could not access the Bios when a newer PCI-E 2.0 card was installed in the primary PCI-E 16x slot, but it still mined.

i'm running gtx1080 and gtx1080ti on old socket am2+ mobo with athlon64 x2 - work like a charm ))

No problem at all as long as the motherboard supports the number of cards you want to use. Most mining motherboards come with only 1 16x PCI-E slot and the rest are 1x.

Hi, I got some PCI-e1 x1 slots free on my rig and I'm wondering if i can buy 1x-16x risers and mine Skein on these slots using 1080Tis.
Now, I know PCI-e speed doesn't really have much to do with mining, but it's the slowest port you can get (only 250MB/s).
Is this good enough? Did anyone try this?
