Hey guys new here, I'm from South Africa. I would like to know where can I find legit company where I can buy mining hardware and software and which pool would you guys recommend one to join?

really interested but I'm tired of the scams out there..

any real miners in here with proof of transactions who can help?

Thanks.
Tee.

Definitively Bitmain as mentioned. For the pools i strongly recommend "Kano.is".

How much does the electricity costs where you live? I expected it to be rather expensive in most of South Africa.
You need to have very cheap electricity for mining to be profitable and you also need to consider many other factors like difficulty, price and the block halving.

Sure can get very cheap electricity. what hardware would you recommend to be profitable. thanks

Well you still havent answered the question. How much do you pay per kWh for your electricity and whats your budget? I can't magically guess and tell you what to buy without knowing those.

Thanks electricity is not a problem there are townships here in SA where households dont pay electricity especially in the lower class and poor areas. I just need a good Idea on what hardware I should go for to be profitable ofcourse considering things like difficulty, block halving, etc.

Bitmain and Avalon are currently selling miners, but IMO it's best to wait as there's a new generation of gear that's been announced to start showing up soon (probably the next month or two for the first units).

I generally like Slush for a pool https://mining.bitcoin.cz, but if you're serious about mining you should set up your own P2Peer pool node - I'll be doing that if/when I get back into mining.
I used Elgius for a while, which was easy to set up but the pool itself wasn't so great.

Bitmain really is the only company that is currently selling hardware to customers.  There are a few others in the pipeline like Bitfury and possibly Spondoolies (Although not sounding good), but if you want hardware today, then Bitmain is your best option.  Either that or explore the hardware section on this forum, there is always someone selling used hardware, just use escrow and you'll be fine and won't get scammed.
