Personally, I really like this coin that on NVIDIA cards it is mined at times better than AMD. If my information is correct.

From what I've readed.... Vertcoin is ASIC resistant and can be mined by GPU only.
Since Ethereum will eventually not be minable anymore, people are already turning toward Vertcoin.

Vertcoin is not mine with ASIC. To mine this use video cards, especially suitable nvidia. I think.
I dont think Asic miner could be possible for Lyara2v2 algorithm.
Btw, I'm mining VTC in miningpoolhub.com, my rig (6 cards 1070 with tpruvot ccminer ver 2.2.2) could draw about 201 Mh/s, so earn about ~2.3 VTC/day.

Not sure about ASICs. I mined VTC on nvidia GPUs with ccminer. There are probably lots of ccminer's forks improved for lyra2v2 algo. You can check benchs page of yiimp.eu to get in touch with possible hashrates for different GPUs. Then check whattomine and get info about how profitable a hashrate would be.

I am a newbie and planning to mine Vertcoin. Can anyone share their experience in doing so? When mining do we really need to get ASIC based miners ( like in the case of Bitcoins) to mine altcoins, especially a coin like Vertcoin.
I would highly appreciate if people can share their experiences and knowledge.
