You can get a 5830 off ebay for about £60/$90 that'll do 260-300MH/s or just wait for Butterfly Labs to release their ASICs.

Thanks for your help.

I actually won't be using the computer much, so I could increase the aggression somewhat.  I am a newb so I don't know much about this, I have been using guiminer and that's all I would use.  Would there be a way to increase aggression using guiminer and the 6570 video card, after it's installed?  To increase it above 40-60 mhash/s.   Thanks.

Hello Jcw188,

the standard psu of dell vostro 200, which provides 300 watt and enough ampere on rail to run a 6570, will not be the problem.
The mainproblem is the configuration of the mining software. Like you said you are at work, so you can not mine with
high aggression, otherwise your computer will slow down to much to continue working.

With a moderate configuration you will reach between 40 and 60 mh/s, without to overclock the gpu and memory clock.

At this speed and at the current price of bitcoin/usd, without to pay for power, it will need about 6 months until
the amd hd6570 pays for itself.

Thanks for the reply. I can let it run overnight most nights too. I'm more making sure that Radeon 6570 will mine ok?

8 hours a day at 80 Mh/s hardly seems worth it.
Too bad the miners from butterfly labs aren't shipping.

Hi all. I am getting into mining. So far I have my laptop mining at about 12 mh/s at work. I also have access to a dell vostro 200 which apparently has a pci express slot. I was thinking of buying and adding a Radeon hd 6570 1 gb ddr3 to the slot. Does anyone know if this will work? I think that card is supported and on the list of mining hardware it looks like that can get like 80 Mh/s. Or can anyone suggest a card that would work of comparable value?  It says it's $55. power is not an issue because I'm at work. Thanks for anyone helping to get this newbie started!
