If I remember BFGMiner ran these without any additions. They might have dropped code support in more recent copies (shame) but I mined with them and didn't use Zadig.

CGMiner did need them.

Also I don't remember which bridge they used, but CP2012 drivers have been depreciated in Windows 10.

It's been too long since I did this. Cgminer 3.7.2 rings a bell.  Also i remeber having to use device manager to remove all instances of the miner and then running zadig again and letting the device driver install for each stick.  Once the drivers finished installing, I ran cgminer.... When I get a chance, I'll boot my old machine and see if there's something on it that might help.

Why do you want to run these anyway?!   It's a waste of energy; you likely wont see any reward at all.

I want to mine some other sha256 coins, I have 10 of those and its just sitting in drawer for nothing. Just feeling lucky thats all Smiley

Okay please if you can check. I tried with zadig to install windriver instead of those icarus but still didnt work neither with bfgminer or cgminer.

Try adding --scan-serial-erupter:all to the command line when starting BFGMiner.

its saying unrecognized option :/

but which version?

I tried the last one and I cannot get it to work.

Wish I have kept the old versions that I used in 2013.

I found 1 old cgminer version (cgminer-3.7.2-windows)

and I tried with following:

Code:
cgminer-nogpu.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.com:0000 -u xxx.x -p x --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100
@pause

But it gives errors like this: https://i.ibb.co/NCNZG4Z/icarus.jpg

Do I need to use that Zadig like in past?

Will this even work with old miner software like this?

The list of devices: https://i.ibb.co/wBMKbtM/icarus2.jpg

When I run Zadig: https://i.ibb.co/y6yqmJL/zadig.jpg

Hi all!

I am trying to run my old Block Erupters but I cant any way, did anyone try it or is there a discussion about it already? I searched but didn't find anything.

1) I installed a fresh Windows 7 64bit
2) Downloaded (Download for Windows 7/8/8.1 (v6.7.6) https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers
 Download VCP (5.3 MB) (Default))
3) Downloaded http://bfgminer.org/files/5.5.0/ (bfgminer-5.5.0-win64.zip)
4) Started bfgminer enter pool and all and -> NO DEVICES FOUND

However in Devices and printers in Windows I can see "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM4)"

Thanks
