Hello,

I have been out of touch of mining since I last used R-BOX with CGminer.
%
I recently bought RTX 3070 TI OC and was wondering if it is possible to use it for mining BTC or other crypto.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks.
Watch a few videos on YouTube, download the right miner and start mining.

The problem with many RTX 3070 TI video cards is memory overheating, because these models have DDR6X memory installed. If the memory temperature is more than 100 degrees, then you need to change the thermal pads.

Thermal Pads works but not the best for RTX3070Ti, using copper pads works better you will see memory temps at 60 degrees once installed correctly, this mod is getting popular on YouTube already.

I don't like copper thermal pads because there are so many problems.
You need to choose the right thickness, you need to achieve the best pressure between the processor memory and the heatsink. Incorrect installation may result in a short circuit.
Why such risks because of 6 degrees Celsius?

3070ti is good for dual mining, you can make better profits if you mine ETH and Ergo at the same time or with ETH and Alephium, give this a try and drop a feedback.

3070ti is a good GPU for PC gaming but mining? I'm not so sure because this beast takes up to 250watt from the wall measurement, a friend had one that does 54MH on Ethermine pool, I stopped mining later since the electricity consumption is too much.

it's not just ETH in life...

We make more money with ergo than ETH especially at the moment!

For gaming also not the best GPU. Not enough vram for gaming and for this price.

You can mine Ethereum with 3070ti and get a 60MH hashrate from the GPU, the only downside is the power consumption, 200watt for 60MH is way too high, a 3060ti needs 120watt to achieve same performance.
