First it's not crypto and not mining. It's nothing more than a hidden kickback scheme.
Kickback schemes, like pyramid schemes, are in the grey area of business. Many are considered
illegal and even if legal are shunned by most honest business people.
That the kickback was not disclosed makes this a scam.
The web site is just a click bot that uses your phone to click on their ads, generate likes, etc
to produce revenue for them. They then pay you a fraction of what they earned using your phone.

The present situation pushes online users to do business and make income using internet. The best way to not waste the time and data consumed is to do mining. Although this will not make a person rich overnight, but this gives us a hope to do jobs even sleeping at home. Also, the most interesting part is that, this is free.
