Miss Universe Vietnam is one of the largest, most prestigious beauty pageants in the nation recently. It is also the "career launcher" for names like Pham Huong or H'Hen Nie, who has represented Vietnam beauty in international contests. With the 2019 edition, the competition will apply a blockchain platform to enhance the integrity of voting.
Well that is nice and trendy, but remember that using "blockchain" alone isn't too different than any regular database. If the system is truly decentralized, anyone can run nodes and several pop up, then you are into something. Blockchain alone isn't sufficient.
This works the same for any type of voting. Next is to ensure one person only gets one vote, without losing their anonymity...
We also have the same organization here, but in recent years it got involved into a huge scandal of candidates getting promoted in exchange of sexual favors.
My country has the most winners but i don't particularly like it. And yes, its also "the largest, most prestigious", or was, don't know now... There is also Miss World and some others, but miss Universe used to be the top one, maybe still is.
