Sadly common in my country too.
Every day (each fu****n day!!) there are many new missing persons. The most commonly missing are young girls from 13 to 17 years old, as well as children.
Each day I receive a couple of this kind of alerts as the minimum. The most terrible part is that it doesn't even appear on the news, the people just don't give attention to that, for this is such a common situation, that has become not worthing of even a word in the news.
This is obviously the result of a corrupted government, where the law doesn't exist and where we all live in a place of no consequence. You can kill and get over with it; you can kidnap... anything you want because the police are so corrupted that they will do anything.

I'm aware of children adopted in the first world, but trust me here, this is really different. The teenager's girls adopted in here are used by the cartel, by politicians, policemen, and it is clear, they don't even try to dissimulate themselves. But people are so scared...if you try to get back your child and he/she is in the hands of someone powerful enough then, for sure, you will be killed, as well as your relatives.
Then even parents remain in silent, despite their pain. For they are not going to have any justice.

It is the duty of the government to provide security for its citizens;
especially when it involves children. The security agencies like police force are meant
to mount guard in schools harboring children.Otherwise, trained vigilante force
must be readily available to secure the children from kidnapping or abduction.
Tracking device may also be used on children to track their locations when kidnapped.
This is very important to prevent children from missing from schools.

This is also one of a case of human trafficking and should be resolve by the government with upmost priority even if some treat it as rumors because in my place there also this kind of incident(though a low rate) that some children were lost and still can't be found. One probably reason for this is the use of social media where most of time the teenagers were involved at. That is why we need to monitor everything our child is doing and guide them to the right direction before it is too late for you to realize.

I'm frightened by all these stories with missing and kidnapping of children, it's so horrible that just imagine what they're doing there with the kids, then you do not want to live after that in this cruel World. But still you can not let fear for children grow into an obsessive desire to control everything around the child. To understand what the desire to control everything can lead to, I can advise you to watch the 2nd episode of the 4th season of the TV-series "The Black Mirror" (It is called "Arkangel")

I know everyone in the Philippines are very aware of those in the vans getting children. Reports are getting scary of missing children and witnesses proof that they see how they are trying to get them, some luckily escaped, but still many ended up being caught. It is disturbing that we cannot secure our children's safety nowadays, and recent post on FB dated March 19,2018 of a guy entered the school and went in one classroom, then dragged out an 8 year old girl out of the school caught my attention and made me worried. The helpless girl's photo was now surfacing on fb, coz she's been missing since then. And school's security should really be talk about, and it is a must that those who need to attend on this matter abruptly worked on how to secure children's safety on school. Coz on my observation, they don't really have a security guard armed with necessary equipment to protect  the school and the children when the time calls for it. And I hope the president will raise this issue coz it is on news, it is an national issue concerning national safety of our innocent children.

God bless. Stay safe and please keep your children secure.

It is sad that children already feel fear because of this happenings. They should not have to suffer from this.

There is some evidence that this type of depraved behavior has been going on for a long time.  Not just child abuse but large child trafficking rings, probably controlled by very powerful interests.  Not sure that the governments in all cases are directly involved, but it wouldn't surprise me.  They certainly look the other way.  If you look at global trends, you can see that when a decrease happens in one country / part of the world, there's an increase in another part of the world, so it's likely these trafficking organizations operate on a global scale, shifting their efforts as one or another country has a crackdown.

I think the world being more connected through technology and the internet has both good and bad aspects.  Like any tool, the internet can be used for good or evil.  It's used for both.  I do believe that over the long run, that good will overrule evil because that is the nature of humanity.  While we are pretty primitive in many ways, at our core most of us, as individuals, are good people and that aggregation will overcome.  I believe that Bitcoin and blockchain technology, along with other modern technologies, make it easier for this to come about.

It's really the gatekeeper situation that I've talked about before, gatekeepers control the world.  Decentralization removes gatekeepers, allowing the world to control itself.  Each person can be more sovereign, each country can have more control over their own priorities.  Some believe that decentralization will lead to the end of governments, and maybe in some cases that is true.  But I don't think the government, in general, is bad, just that the power has been badly abused.  There are some functions that are best performed by a group of people that agree on a set of priorities.  This is "government".  To the extent that government serves as gatekeepers, that function will be greatly reduced or removed, but some form of order over chaos is, in my view, a positive thing in some specific areas.

The fact that we can discuss this topic, a group of people that don't know each other, meeting in a virtual space on the Internet, shows the power of this technology to help us in discussing problems and even finding solutions to them.  Which hopefully leads to less evil in the world, such as these child trafficking operations.

Best regards,
Ben

Call me paranoid, but I do feel quite suspicious about such operations lasting for a long period of time, if the government is really focusing on these issues as they should.

I wouldn't be surprised if these people had some really strong connections in the government.

It seems to be worlwide. You just have to look at all the grooming and abduction that is going on in the UK, and it appears that the government supports it, or at least condones it.
